I've Never created a website, most of the time i use simple blogs and the traffic is not much. The traffic is around 500-1000 visits and The blogs are well optimized. I depend 100% on search engines.

I want to achieve around 5000 visits per day instead of 1000

Can i really achieve this traffic with a blog or must i build a standard website?

Do blogs have limited traffic?

Does google favor websites than blogs?

I never had blogs, as I only build basic website, but if you're get 1000 visitors per day then, why change? That is a tremendous amount of visitors for a blog and to achieve 5000 per day, is perhaps setting your target to high.

You're having 500-1000 visits/day? That's already very good! If you can get that number of visitors, you can scale it up. You can definitely achieve 5000 visits with your blog. Make sure you post fresh content constantly to attract traffic. IMO Google favors blogs more than websites.

Blog and website both have a similar onsite structure so I don't really think that it differs a lot.

Keep your blog, no need to start over. Just increase the traffic to it and don't depend totally on Google.

Do come article posting to get syndicated and post on social networks and get a fan base.

There are a lot of other ways to get traffic besides just Google, search for "traffic" in this forum.

Also, check this free software out. It works great. (You'll have to join the War Room first, but it is well worth the one time lifetime fee for all the free stuff in there.)

Well, if you are getting traffic then keep doing what you doing. But the trick is to find a way to stand in front of the traffic. You can use some sort of pop-up or web form like Aweber if you have an account with them. Now, you want to get in to the back in of your hosting account and find out where the traffic is coming from.

If you play around in the back in of your hosting account you'll find that most of the traffic is coming from Google and what people are typing in to find you. I can't begin to tell you how valuable this information is to a Internet Marketer, but I suspect that when you start playing around in the back end of your hosting account you will find out for yourself.

500 - 1000 visitors is nothing to be sniffed at, how long has the blog been live for? Have you tried paid traffic, content marketing does take time but there is no question it works it is a simple task of keep going. You may want to have a look at advertising on other peoples sites in your market as well.

I think you're doing really well already. As people have already suggested, try posting some articles with backlinks to your site in article directories. Also try posting bookmarks on sites like delicious. Not sure what your blog is about but could you build an email list from the site? Keep up the good work!

Blogs are all about two things...

Creating readers and setting the arena for your current readers to create more readers for you. for you.

(Sounds a lot like a "normal" business right....just replace the word readers with customers)

    The first option: Creating Readers.
This involves you actively go out there and attracting more readers to your blog.
You can do this using either free methods or free methods...both work extremely well depending on your strategy and purpose. You can read more about that at this post!

The second option: setting the arena for your current readers to create more readers.
This option is equivalent to word of mouth in the offline world. It's where you provide awesome value and benefits (in which i assume you already are with 500-1000 daily page views) that make your readers compelled to share your content with others.

In my opinion this is best done by creating your own fame within a community. You see most people will hate you or dis like you for your thoughts and your style. But your goal is to create a community of individuals that love you.

this happens by being unique, providing value that others arent offering, and being consistent. Then you'll notice your community wil grow.

And this is when your readers will become compelled to share the content that you provide.

And every time your current readers share your content thats a +1 vote for you. thats another opportunity for another person to digest your content and fall in love with it.

    Thus growing your daily views.

I know a lot of people want that magic bullet that says just buy some software, click a few buttons and you'll increase your page views by the 100's overnight..Yeah right.

that's like saying just because i but a brand new top of the line baseball bat i become the home run champ over night...HELL NO! even though you have this new bat you still have to practice and put in work to hone your craft and your strength.

well that analogy is congruent with your blogging and internet marketing efforts... no matter what software you buy you'll still have to put in work to gain traction. no question about it.

So if you really want to increase your daily page views it boils down to constructing a strategy/plan..setting daily goals...and busting your a$$ day in and day out.

Success online is like an all you can eat buffet in which you must pay the price before you can eat. You dont pay the price, you dont get to eat.

with internet marketing paying the price is (putting in the hard work that others shy away from).... you pay the price in the beginning, you'll reap the benefits in the future...

Work hard, you'll increase your traffic in no time!!

Blogs are a great way of attracting seo traffic, I would say try to build a list using the existing traffic you're already getting that will benifit you in the long run and then you can also monetize that list with the correct sales funnel in place.
