Hi,
I am thinking of being a full time Internet Marketer in the year of 2012. What is your best advise? Currently, income solely coming from affiliates which is around USD2000 per month. I guess I can do more if being a full time IM. What is your best advise for the persons like me? Thanks.

If you can earn 2K per month without fail, it's time to go into full time, my advise would be trying out other things beside affiliate marketing to create multiple streams of income, also try to outsource your works too.

$2000/month would cover a lot of people but depends on you. Can you live off that amount if you didn't make more? Also, how long have you been bringing in at least that amount?

It definitely depends on what your current living expenses are per month right now. If $2000 is getting you by and you know you can make a significant amount more going full time then by all means go for it.

Now that you're earning $2k/mth, scale it up to earn more.

I definitely recommend having at least 6 months worth of living expenses saved up before you quit your job. It might sound tough now if you don't have that, but it will save your ass the one time something messes up your business and you find that you have zero revenue for a little bit.

Once you've got that revenue, go for it and enjoy! It's a great lifestyle

I agree with imdomination, I think $2K is not a guarantee. If your expense is $1K/month, it will be useless. You must earn at least $6K/month if you want to quit your day job.

I highly suggest you start outsourcing if you haven't already BEFORE you go full time. Once you depend on every penny it can get harder to justify the cost of outsourcing, so you want to start now and try and get to where your PROFIT is enough to cover your expenses.

I definitely second the poster that said having a few months of living expenses before going full-time. Sometimes unexpected things happen--such is the nature with the internet.

I imagine the advice would be to... scale up! But I am not an expert, so don't take my word for it.

If you can make two times the income you need every month to survive, go full-time, without a doubt. Then you can build on that and make even more.

Good luck, and looks like you already have a solid base from which to start.

PArt time for first 6 months even though you are earning good in IM. Check if you are getting consistent revenue and then switch to full time.

Thanks for your the advices.. basically, I have been in online business for 6 years.. I am a staff engineer with semiconductor industry by profesion for 10 years (salary about USD2.5k). However, I am really get into the online business by having an office with two training rooms (8 and 12 participants). Right now, I have an associate, a retiree (cum to be my student) who help to take care the place and I pay him by commision base. Myself conduct trainings in weekend for Joomla and Minisite + Internet marketing. The place also rental for other entrepreneurs. My main Internet income is coming from 3 affiliates with total USD2k and several side incomes such as adsense and tradings. However, I have a friend who was an engineer too, resigned 2 years ago, doing about the same things what I mentioned above and his income is about USD6,000 a month. However, it will be over confident if I think I can get the same amount too.

You need to sketch out what you yourself specifically *need*.

    Don't worry about others.

Take a good long hard look at your last 6 months' spending.

To where did the money go?

How much did you dedicate to relaxation?

How much did you dedicate to building your offline business?

How much did you dedicate towards your living expenses?

Then take a look at what you're currently doing and project out to the future.

If you have the knowledge (key!) to scale up, how much more effort will it require? How much more money do you think it will bring in?

Some resources that might be helpful include:

How much do I need to retire? - CNNMoney
    The Simple Dollar
How much money do you really need?

Only you can determine when you can make that jump.

    Hope that helps!
