Does mailchimp have avfeature for just blog post notification?

So signed up for mailchimp and put it on my blog so people could subscribe but then noticed that people are just subscribed to my list and still will not get notified if I make a new blog post. Is this feature in Mailchimp so that I don't have to send out an email manually everytime I make a new post to my blog?

If not, what is the best service to have people subscribe to my blog, have them get automatically notified when I make a post, and also allow me to build my list? Thanks

    Hi Newff

The best people to ask are Mailchimp themselves. They are pretty good at replying to enquiries of this nature.

If not, there is a simple workaround.
    Use your mailing list itself.
Just write a short email linking to your blog, perhaps with a little 'social interaction message' to keep it friendly. You can either just say that you have a new blog post, or give a brief description of what it's about, or its title.

I receive quite a few emails of this nature, and if they give an idea of the subject, don't find tem at all intrusive, as it leaves me the choice whther to read the post or not.
This also gives you an excuse to write to your list, which can't be all bad, and takes very little time.

Be aware that Mailchimp do not allow their lists to be used for quite a few subjects, including affiliate marketing. I recommend you take a lok at their terms before building a big list with them.

If you're using Mailchimp for economy, you may like to investigate ListWire, which is another autoresponder with no fees. You can have unlimited lists, names and mailings without ever incurring a cost.

    Hope this helps
