Nice article. I am posting the titles here so that you decide if you want to get more
info. The text is left for those method that have something with online marketing.

    1. Tutor someone.

    2. Flip items on Craigslist.

    3. Write for money. If you have decent writing skills, there are many options for earning more money. For example, all sorts of blogs, magazines, and businesses hire freelance writers to create brochures, articles, and other forms of the written word.
If you're a good writer but don't have the time to write a lot of extra articles, you can try what I call the "eBay Ad Strategy." There are many high-priced items selling on eBay, such as cars, boats, and motorcycles. Many of these items have terrible descriptions and sales pages. You can contact the owners, tell them that you will write a great sales page for them, and simply ask for 1 percent of the selling price as your fee. They don't pay you anything unless the item sells. This makes the offer appealing to them and because it's a high-priced item, you can easily earn a nice chunk of change from a little bit of work.
    4. Create a Kickstarter project.

    5.Create your own travel business.

    6. Rent out your room on Airbnb.

    7. Sell your skills as a freelancer. You might be surprised by the tasks people are willing to pay to have done. A skill that seems ordinary to you might be extraordinary to someone else, such as dog walker, Website designer, home organizer, marketing consultant, or personal cook. There is no reason you can't sell the skills you already have for some extra money.

Airnb is a site that allows you to post your house/apartment for rent. You can charge how much per night and if you want you can also throw in some extra perks for free. It's great if you have an empty apartment that you own, or if you don't mind having guests sharing your home for a few days.

Walk into a business complex and approach every door and probe them for a website. If they say they already have one, offer SEO services and after that they still say no, move on to the next. You'll be surprised at how many business owners are willing to listen.

Good to see arbitrage listed there! That's where the money is at!

I couldn't bring myself to use Craigslist though! (well perhaps...).

I have never tried this method before. I guess I just hate having to deal with rejection and any negativity. But I think many business owners are open to learning how to generate more sales and customers.

Yes, it is definitely an effective and almost instantaneous way to generate some solid contracts for SEO. We do it all the time.

Ask to speak to the business owner about SEO and the conversion rate is huge when you do it in person.

I never be too pushy, just sort of let them know what I do and if I can leave my card.

If they ask some questions then I know they are interested and I talk about how we can benefit their business.

        Cheers,
        Dave

I agree with you man. We should never be too pushy when we are selling in person.

All of our marketing should follow a simple 3 step process. This is something I heard Frank Kern talk about. It's so simple and funny I thought I would share.

How To Make Money Selling Stuff:
          1. Show people what you got.
          2. Tell people what the products/services can do.
          3. Tell people how they can buy them.

It's a simple 3 step process to selling stuff and making money. It can be so simple and so difficult.

You'd be surprised how many local business owners are willing to pay for a website. Any successful business should have a website. Some haven't gotten around to hiring someone for the job so you might get lucky.

Ah, good old CL arbitrage. If you've got the time you can do pretty well. But you have to treat it like a real job. And don't forget to factor in the gas costs.

Just like anything else....it takes work.

That's why it says "Earn" and not "get something for nothing while I sit around". ;-)

ARBITRAGE hands down. You will be surprised at how easy it is to connect two people with what they want and profit at the same time. All it takes is finding the need and supplying the product to your audience. I know easier said than done but head to any BST section of a forum and will instantly see what I mean.

I don't like welfare either. I have heard of people who have faked being hurt so they can collect compensation while working a job that's off the books.

Confidence can work wonders for walking cold into businesses. And if you leave behind your business card, make sure to have the back of it work for you...ie, perhaps add SEO and Google Places and local marketing tips to catch the interest. Heck, you can even list local business directories that you can then offer to list them in....

I WISH I could just walk into a business brimming with confidence. But nerves always seem to get the best of me. Which is why I'm thankful for the internet.

I don't like doing cold meetings. I would rather find businesses online and follow up with them later when I have their permission.

Absolutely man. I signed up for an online system that takes away a lot of the technical barriers that a newbie person faces when building an online business. But even with all that, it still takes work/energy/effort to make some money. I guess there aren't free rides in the internet marketing world, unless of course you know a guru that will do all the work for you.

I agree that sending traffic to a squeeze page/opt-in page is the fastest way to build an email list. I would highly recommend getting on camera and making a short introductory video 1-3 minutes welcoming the new subscriber to your email list. A video will go a long way when your visitors know what you sound and look like. You will get higher email open rates (usually).

Building a list takes time and traffic generation is a long process of trial and error.

Also what would your list be about?

People always say build a list, send them offers rake in teh cash, but i find it difficult to pick a niche that will convert this way other than IM

That's a great question that you brought up. In internet marketing, we are supposed to be solving people's problems by offering our solutions. To build a list, offer something for free on your squeeze page and deliver it on the thank you page. On the thank you page you could say something like if you enjoyed the free training you can get more advanced training here. The advanced training could be a membership site, a video training etc. The possibilities are endless as long as we are helping people solve their problems... So pick a problem that the majority of the market has and solve it and charge for it.

Exactly. Internet marketing takes work. You either do it yourself, or you pay someone to do it for you. Either way, it's going to take time and energy on your part or someone else.
