how to find a niche product

Start by looking at the places where they sell the products like ebay and amazon., You go to ebay pulse and find tons of top searched terms. Amazon had a best sellers list I believe that you can get niche ideas for as well.

Just look around your house at the products you buy and start doing some keyword research.

Pen and paper is not a bad idea to get started.

Then you need to make sure that there would be enough searches for that niche to make it worthwhile to continue.

When you are starting out; just use the "google keyword tool external" and test out your niches.

Click on "exact" match (on left side of menu) and see if there are enough global monthly searches. It's not an exact science, but you can get a rough idea about whether it is worth it to pursue.

I get ideas from everywhere... whenever a friend buys something random or I come across something that I've never heard of before I always think "I wonder if people would buy this online" and do some keyword research on it.

Find a product with a high value and commission. The one that sells well (best-sellers).

Once you have a product find a niche of this product and people to whom you'll sell this product. Find your major keyword and off you go.

First of all, you can find the niche products in Clickbank. There have thousand of products for you to sell. After you have chosen the niche, you are required to choose a profitable product. Another one is gravity, gravity represent the popularity of the particular product. High gravity means the products is highly exposure to public. You can take the product to promote but it also indicate there have many competitors are promoting the same product. So what you need to do is pick a product where the gravity is gradually increasing. Because the competitors will be lesser and the product is becoming more and more popular in the same time.

I try to think outside of the box one trick I use is on ClickBank I go to the different categories and look for products that people I know personally would not buy. This does not mean no one else is not into this niche this just a way to get away from the normal way of looking at things. Next I do a keyword search to see the type of traffic it gets.

For physical products, ebay and amazon are good places.
If you are trying to come up with info product, clickbank is great. I would also suggest you to go to any PLR market place and see what's available. PLR are created because there's market for those niches. You can get ideas for your topics and titles easily.

I use a little program called Amazon Deal Finder. It helps do great market research and find an awesome product on amazon as well! It's one my favorite tools.

so when you find a product, you do some keyword research... if a particular keyword or keyword phrase has around 200 to 500 searches per month, would that be a good keyword phrase to use to search engine optimize your website?
