Hi fellow warriors

I'm new to the IM industry, and am still researching on various ways to aquire capital to startup. So I came across a few landing pages pitching about doing online surveys for companies, and was wondering if these are truly a viable means of earning $?

Thanks

You can make money with surveys, but that really has nothing to do with IM. A good way to start would be to go with affiliate marketing. This is where you promote someone's product and earn a commission off of that.

That is the easiest way to get started and the good thing about it is that it does not cost any money to do.

Just browse around here for a while, tons of info to read.

    Good luck!

Sure they are. You just need to join about 500+ different companies that offer surveys and then sit at your computer up to 12hrs a day filling them out hoping that you "qualify" to be paid. And by paid I mean earning points for prizes or a chance at a drawing.

Ok yes I'm being sarcastic there and I'm sorry about that. But surveys aren't known to be a real money maker. If you're looking to make an extra $10-$20 a month then they could be worthwhile but if you are wanting to make serious cash then I would highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Thanks .I laugh so hard I cried . but yes everything you said is true and I would personally rather go and hire myself as an outsource or do some outsourcing arbitrage as to do surveys .

IMHO don't waste your time with survey companies, try writing some articles to get started making money online.

You can make more money if you start a mini niche website instead to spend so many hours filling surveys.

Yeah, you can make several extra dollars with survey sites, but make sure you go to the legitimate ones. A legitimate survey site will ask for more than your name and email address. Make sure you have a look a few things on their web pages like the "Terms of Service" and the "Privacy Policy". Also check out the "About" page for contact information such as company name, address and phone numbers, etc.

I would generally avoid sites that have vague information about the business or the "about us" or contact page. Don't sign up if the terms of service say you need to complete "offers" in exchange for rewards. Good luck and hope this helps!

These landing pages are all designed with one thing in mind - to make money FROM you - NOT to help you make money.

On line surveys, when they are rewarded in any way, are generally distributed by the company to their existing customers. What point is there in Mike's Automat in Ohio having the opinion of Arthur Webster who
lives in Spain or a different state?

Most of the rewards will be product related, discount coupons and so forth, so if you do a survey, you need to know if you will benefit at all.

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

I agree that the power in survey sites is the quantity. I belong to over 260 reputable survey and focus group companies. I make a good income from these sites each month. I only spend about an hour or so a day working with the sites. However, it does take several months to build up a good reputation with these companies in order to get more opportunities.

Also, RoboForm is your friend. The other thing I have noticed over the years is that if you are not a U.S. resident, your opportunities are severely limited as far as survey companies go. I agree that more long term money can be made from IM and affiliate programs, but surveys are a great place for people to begin making money online. If you couple surveys with other online money-makers such as writing content or GPT sites, "newbies" can make good money.

With that being said, it is still WORK and money will not just appear before you. However, this is the case with ANY online opportunity. I started making money online a few years ago by completing surveys and writing content. I also did some GPT sites on the side.

The unfortunate thing is that a lot of these sites are INDEED scams and they get people to pay upwards of $50 every day to join their programs. These programs are right up there with sites claiming you can be "earning hundreds a day doing simple data entry!" and "making thousands a month processing rebates!".

I just wanted to clarify that these legit survey companies do exist.
