I am thinking to create some professional promo videos for my sites.
Does it really help to get more traffic ?
What are the best ways to promote my videos ?
Also, could you recommend me some video submission services ?

Most video sites have cracked down on commercial videos.
One way to get around that is to create a "How To" video related to your topic and have the link to your site at the end or watermarked.

Personally I believe manual video submission is the way to go, and would definitely target YouTube, Vimeo and DailyMotion.

Promo videos on your website won't really help you in terms of traffic. However, they may result in increased conversions because prospects sometimes look at professional videos as "guy knows his stuff".

Since commercial videos are not very much welcome on the networks, you can always make a review video, or as suggested two posts above a "how to" video with your url in the description, watermarked, or at the end of the clip.

Videos on the squeeze page or sales page increase conversions, too, especially when you remove all controls except play/pause, like the big dogs do nowadays. The power of those videos is based on human curiosity, especially when there is also a delay script added revealing the "buy now" button at the end of video. People want to find out not so much about the product but also about the price, so they watch the whole clip from the beginning to the end, and often get "hypnotized" by a slick presentation and hit the "buy now" button.
