Why can´t I achieve the same results?? - do I need coaching?

I´ve been trying to duplicate the methods a person have used and shown to
make the same amount of money he has.

I´ve been using the same niche and product to promote, following his exact steps
and duplicating the promotional methods but also implementing more and some of my own tricks.

But still I´m nowhere near the same place as him.
Me: 1 sale with 10$ profit in two weeks
Him: Many sales with 800$ in two weeks

How can this be mathematically possible?
Am I doing something wrong in with my campaign?

I would appreciate very much if someone could check out my site and articles written:
How to do a cell phone trace
Karl Sewon - EzineArticles.com Expert Author (the last 10 articles is for the cell niche)

I would appreciate some tips for free but I might pay for some coaching if someone could put me on the right track

Sincerely
Karl

  • I was looking at your stats. You have about 444 article views over that niche with 10 articles. From what I have learned, you do not have enough visitors to really judge results.

How do your views look compared to the other guy you are mimicking? If he has 4,000 views to your 400-500, that could be the problem.

Better keyword research, submit RSS feeds, socialbookmarking, make squidoo lenses, make a blogger blog, and do some forum posts - all linking to a specific article.

Why would you do that BEFORE you knew that the product would sell...?

Doing too much work upfront is the whole reason that so many new people to internet marketing get burnt out and then throw their hands up in the air proclaiming that it doesn't work

Shouldnt you do all you can do to get as many visitors as you can in a short period of time? Then you would know sooner rather than later if the product sells...Right?

              Well, in theory, I suppose...

But think about it for a minute....

You make a hub...people are not going to find it on their own
You make a blogger blog....people are not going to find it on their own

              Right?

I'm not saying that my way is the only way, but I like to drive as much traffic to an offer as I can only using articles. If you are smart about it and pay attention, you can get 100 visitors in a day or more many times. Within a period of 3 or 4 days, you've sent 300 or 400 visitors to a sales page and should be able to determine from there whether it is worth investing more time in or not.

On the other hand, you could use PPC to do this as well. Although, that could get expensive, especially if the product turns out not to be a winner

There is NOTHING WRONG with going full boar on something. Hell, most people wish that they had the ambition to do it, but it seems like a lot of time spent on something that you are not sure is going to sell or not.

Well, maybe that is why I am getting burned out then...

I thought I had to jump in head first and work my butt off. So far I have made 4 sales over three niches using articles and yahoo answers, but I am only getting 300-400 visitors per month - NOT DAY

How many articles do you write on average per day per niche?

Please answer - it will save me many man hours of work...apparently...

I have the ambition, the work ethic, and the skills, but my application of the three is where I am getting buried. If I can figure out the system - I will be very successful at this.

I normally submit 2 articles per day per niche these days

Although, when I'm first testing it might be as many as 4, but no more than that.

How do you drive so much traffic to the article based solely on the article?
I am getting about 80-150 views per article in the first five days, and about 20 clicks average - some a lot more.

I am going to have to break down and buy your WSO

Correct me if I'm wrong, here, but if he already knows someone is selling it successfully - wouldn't that classify as "knowing it will sell"?

To answer the OP, there can be a thousand little things that you are doing slightly worse, that, all together, can make a HUGE difference.

This game takes time and effort to learn well. But if you continually learn to do things better, eventually you will get there, right?

the short answer? more articles. article marketing is a numbers game eventually you will hit the right keyword with the right type of information and the right resource box.

unfortunately just keep plugging away. also do not forget to market your articles, use digg and other social bookmarking sites for your articles since all you are doing is relaying good information so its not spam just dont do all your articles at once.

you can also use squidoo and hub pages to try and get more traffic just keep at it!

Some of my articles get 250 -300 views per day... one particular article has been getting this traffic everyday for 1 year now, my articles also have a 45%-55% CTR - of course this brings me sales.

But if you have low number of views and low CTR - you might not be successful.

As mentioned above, I'd do more keyword research and write more articles, trying to get them ranked high in SERPS. Also make sure your bio box is well written, if you are getting CTR under 25% - you are doing something wrong with those articles.

    Just my $0.02

The more you invest, the higher the quality of your visitors.
Your friend get a better quality of visitors.

And chances are that he gets your traffic too. The more people promoting a niche, the richer the ones on the top (of the search engines) will get.

Get your ppc going and get some longer and get more specific keywords in your campaign. He could be your friend, but if you copy him exactly he would be your biggest competition.

    Hey Karl,

Your articles don't look like they are optimized for your keywords.
They are all over the place and need to be written around your keywords.

Example keyword "cell phone trace service" then your article title should look like this:

Cell Phone Trace - How To Do a Reverse Lookup With A Cell Phone

Cell Phone Trace - 3 Ways To Trace A Cell Phone Number

Cell Phone Trace - 5 Important Facts About Cell Phone Tracing

Then your site needs to be optimized for "cell phone trace" your site title says "How To Do a Cell Phone Trace" and your url Cell Phone Trace Service
Change your page title to your url " Cell Phone Trace Service - How To Do A Cell Phone Trace"

Your first post should be yep you guessed it. "Cell Phone Trace" then write other posts for related keywords like "reverse lookup" and so on.

You have links on your Links Page to everything under the sun. Your links should all be related to your keyword.

    That's enough for now.

Any chance you can give us one of your EZA author names so we can learn from your success (I'm thinking article format, phraseology, call to action etc) ? I would be very happy to achieve those sort of click through rates.

Matthew - Is it really neccessary to have my main keyword phrase at the beginning at every post, does not look natural and a little spammy, I think.

Btw, is there any seo application that analyses your site and reports errors for you to fix, or even better an wordpress plugin that can do this.

I use a seo plugin but it does not notify me of any error, are there any ones that does this?

    Sincerely

    Karl,

Just out of curiousity, I've gotten the impression that Jeremy and his sidekick (NoFrills? Netzero? I can't remember his username right now) will happily answer any questions you need answered. Why are you taking it to the WarriorForum instead of sending Jeremy an email or asking on their forum?

    Jeremy,
I just signed up for the bootcamp on Thursday. It looks like I'm going through the materials from the original course. So can I assume I'm not part of this new group of people? I'm not complaining as I'm sure the original course is great. I'm just asking for clarification. Or will the site I have a login for be updated with the new info?

    Karl,

Those were article titles. I looked at some of your articles and I was saying that you should write your articles in the manner I suggested.

A few months ago Chris Knight the owner of EzineArticles did an interview with Ann Keeler Evans and talked about her articles and basically said that she writes the kind of articles that he is looking for.

Here is a link to her articles Ann Keeler Evans and look at the articles about Planning Your Perfect Wedding.

Back to your blog posts, yes do the same thing but it won't look spammy if you only show one post per page on your blog. Then you are setting your blog up the same way that Chris Knight has suggested we write articles.

EzineArtilces tries to do everything to please Google because that is their "bread and butter". So if it's good enough for EzineArtilces shouldn't it be good enough for blogs.

Also, the way that I have suggested you set up your blog works for me.

Obviously, you can design your site any way that you would like but some things work better than others when it comes to getting your pages ranked as you know, hence the reason you are posting this topic.

It's all about market research. When starting out it's absolutely imperative that you find keywords that you can easily rank for. They're out there, it's just harder to find them these days.

If you target long tail keywords with little competition, you won't get as much traffic but it will be targeted traffic that should convert well. Try using a part 1 to your articles and leaving a part 2 in your resource box.

That should help to increase click throughs.

Some great post ideas! A few general suggestions would be to try more thorough keyword research (Google keywords). Also try to submit RSS feeds regularly and don't overlook social bookmarking with really good squidoo lenses, and finally try some forum posts that link to your specific article. See what you can come up with! Hope this helps!
