I couldn't find it covered in their terms.
searching goolge gave conflicting advice.

    I guess it is being allowed by Amazon … but make sure you contact their customer support or read TOS carefully ….

    He contacted Amazon support specifically about putting affiliate links in a PDF (ebook) and they said no, you can't.

    It's against the TOS.

    A work around is that you can create a page about the product on your website with the affiliate link(s) and link to that page in your ebook.

      Yep, absolutely. Just send them to a presell page from the ebook. It creates another step but it's allowed.

      No problem. I had no clue it would not be allowed. I too had never heard that there was anything wrong with it. I guess I need to pay more attention.

      As always, this is still the best advice. Always best to double-check for yourself, but it really looks like it's not allowed to send direct traffic from an ebook using your Amazon aff link.
