Is anybody willing to help me "building a warning proof" signature? Many thanks in advance!

Dear warriors,

Thank you for reading my request for help! I will try to keep the story short:

First of all, this thread is a genuine request for help and not a complain. I do not have a problem with someone else here, I simply post this in the spirit of the ending from the "Warrior Forum Rules - Please Read First!" thread:

Most of us have a great time here and learn a lot. Let's continue that tradition please.
I do not really know what went wrong, but most probable it was related to the signature itself and not to the fact that I've made a test thread, named "sig test" in the "test" forum. Or am I wrong?

Now, I would like to detail how the signature was, but I must to be sure that I am allowed to do it: may I use the old text, including the code used previously inside a "quote" here or shall I write and explain in a couple of words what I would like to have instead?

I already have a warning, so I am waiting for a suggestion on how to continue this help request. And please let me know if I shall edit the existing content (this one, I mean) or if I shall post a reply.

Thank you very much in advance!

Alex

If your signature was edited because you broke the rules it means that:

A - You redirected your site from abc.com to xyz.com (which is a program you are an affiliate of)
B - You didn't even bother with a redirect and posted a direct affiliate link

Both of those are not allowed. If you have a product that you created and own on your own website than a signature is most welcome. Hope that helps.

Something I have asked is about the use of affiliate review sites. I am seeing more of these pop up and wanted to see what the rule concerning them is.

They are a hosted site the gives a review, then an affiliate link to buy the product.

Are these allowed? Saw two here tonight.

      Thanks,

      John

From my understanding of the rules as long as it's your own site and not a redirect then that would be ok. The best place to find the correct answer to your question would be the help desk though.

Dear Teresa, thank you for doing the best to help me, but this was not the case... Moreover, I've got an unexpected reply from mmurtha, a respectable veteran warrior (yes, I judged this status in a wrong way, assuming that no answer will ever be issued - I was wrong and I apologies for this!).

Dear Mods, is this thread useful for anyone else? I do not know. If you find it otherwise, please delete it. I do not want rumors that I've increased artificially my number of posts...

    Best regards!
