Attention read this thread all the way through. And, make sure you read the last post by myself. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Hi Warriors

Not sure whats going on with this one but I have made some new ites today, after developing them I have added some Clickbank product links. I checked them and I can see someone else coming up at the bottom: [affiliate = Not my name]

I reported this hours ago and have had no support from them, to add insult to injury I have checked my old websites, they have the same damn problem.

It looks like I may of been promoting someone else under my own bloody websites, does anyone have any ideas based on this problem at all.

    Lee, there may be malware on your server that detects CB links and automatically changes the seller ID.

    The websites themselves or more likely your browser. Try going to your sites with your phone or another computer.

      I have WPSecure installed on the websites so it should tell me if there was an issue, I was getting a warning because of something called: t14.bg.tf a while back.

      I looked it up and found it out to be some type of false positive, however now I'm starting to think it really was some type of malware.

      Is there anything I can do to flush what ever it is out from the website, I clear my cookies daily using CClceaner. I also have very good ant viruses etc...

    That's why you should always cloak your links even with "tiny url" or something like that.

    I doubt whether clickbank support will be able to help.

      Thank you Robert, it does kind of suck to be honest as I have implemented hours in my websites. So, to then find out that someone may of been in fact getting paid for it does some what sting to be honest.

      I would just like to find out how to flush the problem out, you mentioned using the tiny url, shall I in fact do that right now and start again with replacing everything.

        I would replace the links right away. Why wait and lose clicks? Go to the CB marketplace and get encrypted links for your programs, and cover these with tiny url.

          I have just added my Affiliate links in the tiny url, it's shortened them and I have checked them out, it seems to be all working which is a relief.

    I don't get you properly, but you can try clearing your browser cache and cookies. That'd solve this problem if it isn't something major.

          I can't get over how these Hackers are able to become so sophisticated. I have in fact replaced the links on "Some" now and it in fact directs to my own Clickbank page.

          Problem is I actually have about 7 niche websites to sort out now, this is going to take quite some time and I have other thing to be getting on with. I wonder how much money I have lost because my domains have good rankings.

          I'm not so bothered about myself now, however I would like other Warriors to beware now about this issue. Don't get screwed over like I have and follow this thread and the kind advice given by everyone.

          Thanks to everyone for helping me out, I appreciate the kind help from you all. I am going to now cloak my links and replace them, it's going to take time and I don't hold much hope at getting support from CB.

    This is what I thik has happened !!

    Some hacker has inserted his CB id in your website by injecting some SQL stuff in your website directory !

    What you can do is contact your hosting provider (possible Live chat) and ask them to clean your website or ask them to help you !

    Only they can help and remove that malware from your website

    Is it possible to set up an intermediary, internal server side code which handles all the direction so that your affiliate ids are never exposed in the address bar, so you de-couple the process?

    So instead of your CB links actually being displayed in hyperlinks, or the address bar you could have some kind of PHP script which has different ids to the actual product you are promoting and then re-directs to CB with the actual id?

    ie:

    You promote a product with an affiliate id:
    http://www.somesite.com/?aff=23

    You could set up an intermediary so the aff=23 is never directly exposed, ala:

    http://www.somesite.com/myproducthandler/?id=1

    Where 1 refers to the 23, and handles re-direct.

    Although you could simplify this process by having a bit.ly link instead I guess.

    Sorry, my bad I did not get it earlier. The thing you can do is setup a "cloaked link". That's what I do every time and it works out fine for me. If you're using Wordpress then there several plugins available for this. I normally use Ninja Affiliate as they keep track of the links as well.

    If you are using static html/php based sites then you can create a redirect like this:-

    1. Create a new page and leave it blank.
    2. Then add the following code:

    meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0; url=http://www.affiliatelinkhere.com"
    Then when linking to the product then link to the new page you created. This would work fine.

    I don't prefer tiny url or bitly as because there is possibility that they can have some downtime or any other errors sometime. So, this works out well for me.

      No problem, I have just taken my Affiliate link and shortened it via "Tin URL" I am adding the shortened link into the images, also any words that's needed such as "Click Here" I just add the shortened link into them etc...

    Every single one of my niche websites has been infected by this, I own about 10 websites and all are hacked by this thing, I have just had to edit every single post/page/banner/image with my shortened links.

    God I feel so pissed off right now . Sorry, I'm just so mad inside to think someone has stolen from me, worse still that I had know way of every knowing about it, until now when I developed more sites.

    Let this be a warning to you all, if your sales have dropped, or that you have not checked lately please do so right now. I have very good secure plugins and none have protected me from this damn thing.

    All of the links have this on the sales page: [affiliate = rharjanto] is there anyway I can get this scammer/hacker for this do you think. He must be linked back to Click bank itself right?

    What a crap start to my weekend, I dread to think how much money I have lost out on.

      Doing a simple Google Search I found out this - Kaskus - The Largest Indonesian Community - View Profile: rharjanto

      I guess the hacker is from Indonesia if you do a little deep search then I guess you'll be able to find much more details and then you can take some actions against him.

      But, your best bet would be to move on and don't waste more time finding that guy. It would just make you loss more.

      Have consulted your host to find out how was he able to do that? You may also want to change all your passwords as well. Because sometimes it is possible that they have cracked your current passwords and can be more dangerous now.

        I have just spent hours sorting everything out now, I have changed all the passwords but I know there is no way he has hacked my websites. The passwords I use have 30 symbols and are very complicated indeed.

        He must of somehow infected the websites themselves without logging in, finny thing is I actually have secure plugins also to keep watch of the goings on.

        I agree that it's best to leave it now, I just hate to think how many people he is ripping off. He must be making lots of money from people and they will never even know.

          That's all the info about him you need.

          I guess the address he has used is fake or maybe I'm not sure as the current address on the following domain shows from United States but the earlier forum link states that he is from Indonesia.

            Hmm that is interesting I must say. But, like you said it's probably best I leave it now. I don't want to get on the wrong side of some hacking. If he feels he has to scam and rip of people for money he will get whats coming to him.

            Life's a bitch and always has a habit of biting you back in the ass even if your a nice person. I like to think that for the rotten guys it bits even harder.

            Fingers crossed he will get his own one day. Thanks for the help with everything.

        Oh man Lee, that really SUX! I agree with Sahil, don't waste time trying to find out who it is - although I would report it to Clickbank. They will know who affiliate = rharjanto is and maybe even take back his/her commission. At the very least they should ban the account.

          Thanks Steve I have in fact reported it to them, however I have heard nothing back from there yet, it's been about 5-6 hours now so not sure what is taking them so long.
