Facebook Ads - Are they worth the time and money?

Hello Warriors,

I trust things are great with you.

Anyway, are you still posting Facebook Ads? Do you think they are worth the investment and time? Just out of curiosity, what is the average cost of facebook ads?

Now, my focal question is, what are the things one should know (principally for us newbies) when placing a facebook ad? I just want to be on the right track so I need some guidance.

I am really enthusiastic to hear your inputs regarding this.

Thanks a lot, at least in reading this thread.

Sincerely,
Louie Tugas

    1. Selecting the right offer (people are on facebook to socialize not to make business, Internet Marketers are on facebook to make business not socialize

    2. Targeting - this is a great feature in facebook, but I still see ads for dating services on my home page (although I put married in my profile) - that's an example of bad targeting.

    3. Make your ads stand out (image, colors, ad text).

Theses are the basics, but if you want some advanced stuff that breaks all those rules you might want to look at this
Thanks a lot for these valuable inputs, robertcwik. I am going to note these points for sure.

Everything is "worth" the money if you know what you are doing... While there are scams and frauds out there, real advertising sources all have something that WORKS for someone.

ps. great site about the Philippines. Happiest people in the world!

You are pretty spot-on with what you have said, pacelattin. I couldn't agree more!

Hey, thanks a lot for your compliment about my site. Yeah, if we are not the happiest people, definitely we are one of the happiest folks in the world.

I've had some success with my product, target very niche to bring the cpc down to a few cents eg female fans of 'xyz', living in california might get a higher ctr than 'fans of 'xyz' living in USA' so the cpc will drop. Have multiple highly targeted ads rather than a few broader ones to see what works.

      Great for you, dude!

I'll try to have multiple highly targeted ads rather than a few broader ones and I am quite excited with the possible results later on.

Well they do work great. I suggest you make ur ad pic look as much eye candy as possible. Dont forget people eat with their eyes first before doing anything else.

Also you should look into your stats after your 1st day to see during which hours you get the most traffic.

Also you need to target as much precise you can. It will definitely help your campaign become a success.

Facebook is the second one largest traffic generation place after Google. I recommend facebook advertising after google advertising campaigns.

    All the Best!
