Sharing Google Analytics Report

So I have someone who wants to either buy my website, or become my partner. He wants to see my Google Analytics report, but i am hesitant to share that info. Is there any reason not to share it? Is there any way it can be used against me, or in their favor (other than buying my site)?

I don't see how. They probably just want to make sure it is getting the traffic you say it's getting.

The only way it could be used against you is if the person decides to become your competitor. They could see your keywords and use them to rank their own website.

Personally, if I was buying a site & the vendor refused to show me his analytics, I would run a mile. So many sites sold are based on dodgy sales or traffic figures that it is not unreasonable for a buyer to ask for verification.

Thanks for the replies. I understand the need to verify my claims, I have no problem with that, just a little over paranoid I guess. Thanks again.

GA is a mess now. Google is excluding 10% of my search terms and it will get worse. They are changing things around again. I mean this does hurt me...

    Well, there we go.

Yeah, I don't like the new Google Analytics interface either. I've also heard that they are planning on removing the referral identifier when people click links from their serps. You won't be able to see what keywords people used to get to your website. Bad, bad news.

You can set up another profile and limit their access. Then just give them access to that profile. Personally, I would set up a GoToMeeting and give them a few minutes access to your profile, while you are present. But, if all they want to do is verify traffic, they don't need more than a few minutes inside your analytics.

I exported the report to a pdf and sent that to him via email. I couldn't see anything in the report that I wouldn't want anyone else to see, other than the keywords I rank for, and he already knows those. So anyway, thanks for all the help.
