Keyword Rich Domain Names

I hope this is the right forum. Anyway, I've been doing some exhausting research on adwords for a domain name and finally found 3 that actually aren't registered. From all the information I've gathered it seems like 1000-5000 searches is what to aim for.
The first domain gets 1300 monthly searches
The second receives 2900 monthly searches
and the 3rd receives 3600 monthly searches.

Essentially what I'm asking is the higher the better(3600) or the lower the better(1300) ? Thanks for any help, warriors.

      Thanks I figured that.

Generally the higher monthly searches are better.

There are also other factors to take into consideration. Do you think all three of the phrases are "buying" keywords? Many times I will choose a keyword/domain with lower searches if it is what someone types in when they are ready to buy.

Have you looked at the competition for each word? If you are only looking at three keywords, you can find out a lot by searching for each of them on Google. Look at the results on the first page. Are they relevant to the search? are they authority sites? are there results from article and "answer" sites. Some phrases are easier to rank than others. You can also get information about the competition from the free version of Traffic Travis.

Let me know if I can help with any other keyword/domain questions!

I wouldn't exactly call them "buying" keywords. I'm not pushing a product to buy. I'm creating a blog and a squeeze page sub-folder to capture emails for a free ebook and newsletter. Inside the ebook I have a free trial CPA offer link which I'm masking with another domain name.

Most of the sites that appear in the search are article sites ezine, articledashboard, etc.

You must also take into account the related keywords around the one that is in your domain. Also, the amount is only important when the competition is similar or the same. For example, more competition means that it may be more difficult to rank well for that keyword, but it can also mean that more people are converting for that keyword. You could have a million visitors but if none of them converted to your customer, then what's the point? It's be better to get 100 visitors out of whom 5 converted. All of these things need to be considered.

lol I'm on a pretty tight laid off budget right now. Edu links, articles, article submission, ebook + cover design, header design, squeezer theme, etc. I built my regular blog pretty high (top 400k alexa) and I'm banking my bottom dollar on doing it again but this time for profit.
