There are quite a few people on this forum who are killing it with Amazon, so I'm sure that they will have more insight on this topic than I do.

I can share with you what has worked for me with Amazon so far, though. My Amazon site is the first one I ever built and I had no idea what I was doing, but I've managed to figure a few things out.

This is how I did it:

    1) Find a product (for example - flat screen tv). Make sure there are a number of different makes and models (Sony, Samsung, LG, etc...) that get decent search results and have good customer reviews (above 3 stars average, 4 is better).

    2) I picked 5 different ones to start with and then I wrote a 500-700 word review for each. Set them up to drip feed over a period of time or write one at a time and post them to your blog on a regular basis.

    3) I use 2-3 affiliate links per review, all text. I don't use any banners or widgets.

    4) Of course, the last but most important step, seo.

As of right now, I'm ranked #1 on Google for my main keywords. They get 1,000 exact match searches a month. I'm getting other traffic from other keywords also.

I'm making sales every day on this site. I'm not getting rich, but I see what works now and I'm going to continue to scale this up.

I hope this helps. Good luck and don't be afraid to fail.

Fre Youngs method is good, but it would be much more effective if you were to setup a facebook fanpage.

Don't use fanpages. They will go the way of the dodo bird in the serps in the not-too-distant future.

You wont get too many takers here since they would have to reveal a niche that is doing well and any affiliate will want to keep those top secret and will not even want to PM you that information since you could turn out to be competition.

I sent you a PM of some examples

Amazon is great. I've been making money with Amazon for years. Just keep it simple seems to work well. Set up a blog, do real product reviews, backlink. I'm sure there are more sophisticated ways to do this, but that works for me.

You need to get a solid method of building amazon sites. Once you know how it works, here are two secrets that will make you do well in Amazon:

The first secret is in keyword research.
The second is setting up your sites quickly and rank them all quickly.

I don't think there are really any secrets to making money with amazon, it just takes a bit of dedicated effort.

I usually target products that are over $100, have 20 + products within the niche, have a good rating, and multiple reviews. Once I find a niche that fits this I'll do some keyword research around the niche and find a good niche related keyword that gets a decent amount of searches and use that for my domain name. I'll then build out the sites with review of all the products. Then comes the promotion of the site, using they typical methods to drive traffic.

No real secrets, you just to put in some consistent effort.
