Best way to go about creating an informational product?

Hey,

I am thinking of creating an informational product (eBook) but I was wondering what is the best way of driving traffic to the place where it would be purchased?

I was thinking of creating an informational website which would have the eBook page on it with the purchase button, what do you think?

    Hi IsayHey,

    I would recommend the following.

    Build a blog.
    Build a facebook fanpage.
    Post good quality content on the blog and fanpage (2-4 times a week)

    Re-purpose that content into videos, audio, articles, presentations.
    Distribute the content to the various sites: Youtube, Scribd etc etc

    Sign up to relevant forums and contribute quality content.
    Place your link in signature.

    Most important of all of this is to ensure the traffic is going into developing your list.

      Hm, interesting. I have never made a blog before but everyone says its the best way to go, It probably is but I have never had the chance to try out wordpress properly.

      Any wordpress guides you can link me to? Because if you mention blog these days its mostly wordpress thats going to be the one that you build it with.

        If you Google wordpress guides there are plenty of free guides on youtube and google.....

        Personally If i were looking to get started quickly I would outsource the setup of wordpress to a site like fiverr (For $5) and get it done ASAP.....it beats learning the whole process.

        Alternatively if you are hosting on a host that has Fantastico Deluxe within the cpanel you can have a wordpress blog up and running within 10 minutes at most.
