free photos for blogs/websites

Hi warriors,

I am looking for some nice photos for my new website which I will be starting soon. Some recommend Morgue File for free images-- I mean absolutely free for commercial use (no one time fee). But the free pictures I get there are quite small and hence not attractive enough. Can someone recommend a site where I can get absolutely free pictures without having to fear about legal hassles.

    If you want free photos try searching it on google then edit the picture a little bit so it will look different. That's what I'm doing when I'm trying to post pictures in my site. HTH!

      You should search for "free stock photos", the best places are morguefile.com, sxc.hu, everystockphoto.com or flickr creative commons. If you can't find the image at those places, try making a request for one at fotokoi.com, its $2 but you'll get exactly what you want.

    I started using freedigitalphotos.net recently. They do require that you mention the picture came from the site but I don't mind doing so...

    I also bought a box of SCRABBLE letters off of eBay and sometimes make my own pictures when I need to. I have a blog that talks about music... so I made a photo of headphones and near the headphones the scrabble letters spell out the name of the site, it's actually pretty cool, doesn't cost anything and makes you happy because YOU made the photo
