a website with just adsense and affiliate links in not very good. without content no one knows what your affilate links are. you need to maybe write reviews on the products you are promoting. whats your website so I can check it out?

Hi mate,
Without Content what is the use of the site. You may get some visitors accidentally. But just go away from your site , if you don't have any content in your website.
So try to built some unique content with your ideas , and you can utilize those traffic to earn money.,

Theres no content yet as I haven't had time, its a movie site and I am trying to see how to place movies (or clips) on there which when clicked direct the visitor to another site and I get paid!

Any advice would be appreciated!

The site ranks 1st for a popular name in google, I've done nothing to it as I haven't had chance, im new to IM and was testing the water as to see if it was the right niche. I think I've found it but how I develop it is a different headache!

The site is a movie site (although the only movies you get at the moment is by clicking on amazon) I need to find out how to put a large catalogue of movies on there!

My success rate with adsense is 32% at present but pays 5pence (uk) per click, so I agree I will not make anything with that!

Amazon only pays 4% which again isn't great!

I don't understand either. You are ranking for a top keyword? But you set up your website five days ago? And you have done no SEO optimization? And have no content.. doesnt make sense

Yea a little bit strange. I was thinking the same and also how he get about 40 visitors per day in only 5 days after site launch without do nothing.

Adsense pays pennies a click, so if you go that route, you are going to need a ton of traffic. Statistically speaking, it takes just as many visitors on average to get an adsense click as it does an affiliate sale (1 adsense click/affiliate sale per 100 visitors). That's why I prefer doing affiliate marketing over using adsense. Also, the search engines are big on unique, quality content. It will help to bring in traffic to your site. Why not add some?

If there's no content people will leave immediately after viewing it. But if you add more content people will visit your site more often and will share it to their friends especially if they find it real nice and awesome.

If it's also a new adsense account better remove those ads till you have some content.

The "popular name" may be a celebrity - make sure you aren't violating a trademark or you may not keep the site long.

At the least I hope you have some text describing the Amazon products for sale.

Well for getting more visitors you need to put some quality content in your blog..... you need to put some new info so that user like it and also share with their buddies..... it will increase your traffic too..... ad sense and amazon link is good but to get more visits it is very needed stuff .....

Why are thinking about monetization part ? Focus on Content creation and consistent promotion. Monetization is a later stage.

I guess it is about domain it must be fully enriched with keywords that is why having some traffic. You should focus on adding some content and do some SEO for your site rather than waiting for the visitors to increase :-)

Glad that you are having visitors and leveraging off celebrity status . 30visitors /day is not enough . you need more visitors to make more money .Please put up some exciting new content and outsource SEO, add related videos to website . Could be the start of something wonderful

I guess you have hit a goldmine. You have tested the waters, it is working, so outsource and get quality content on it as quickly as possible. Niches are never secret for too long. There are many bright, aggressive IMers so if you don't move quickly, you just might lose your head start.
