Mistakes when outsourcing content..

I am sharing my personal experience while outsourcing my content...

How to do it effectively..

Many times you saw people telling you that you need to have content on your blog and you can outsource it.the first thing that comes to my mind is to find someone cheap so that my cost will be low..so I will get someone to write for me at about $2 per articles and soon I have about 30..that is fast and hoping that I can make money with that..I posted all on my niche blog and waited..nothing seems to be moving and I gave up the idea..

This may sounds familiar with newbis and yes I am doing the right method but wrong way!!what your blog need is information that readers wish to read and learn..not just a content where they can easily find on the Internet..

Lesson learnt:
1)cheap writers might not help you achieve your goals
2)look put for writers that will research the topic well and write a in depth article
3)look at the samples of those writers
4)look out for "how and why" of the topic as they tend to about more informative
5)avoid the "what" of the topic ie what is Internet marketing, what is dog training..such topic are to general and is all over the Internet..readers might get bored

This are my personal views and tips..feel free to add more so that we all learn..

I completely agree that it takes time to find quality people to outsource too. You might find someone who will write articles for a couple of dollars but usually they will be full of fluff without any real substance, or the writer will quickly get burnt out writing for such low prices and will end up disappearing into thin air.

I think it's also well worth hiring potential writers for test articles. I don't believe it's fair to get people to work for free so I always pay them for their test articles whether I end up choosing them for future work or not.

Yup this is what im going through now...this is where most newbis like to take a short cut and thus failing their objective...so now im focusing on the content and also telling my writers what i want rather than give them a general keyword...

    Owen,

Very true said and mentioned! Customers opt for low cost writers most of the time though that time too they want quality but just for the sake of saving they opt for something which is wasting rather than saving. Today where competitions have become so high and even the search engines stats is changing frequently and now for most of its statistics result it is concerning the content most it has become very important that quality and unique content should be there in a site in order to get fast listings and consideration from search engines. Content that gives some information or explains something are always preferred as still apart from being on social medias most of the users look for some or the other kind of answers and so a common user types how, why where, when and etc for getting to those results. I appreciate your 4th point and would like to thank you for this.

Yup...the easiest way is to put yourself in the readers shoes and see if you like what you are reading

Apart from the obvious rich-in-keyword text, I always feel, as a writer, that passion and feeling must be applied when writing content. Hiring a writer is no different from hiring a decorator to come to your house and you generally get what you pay for in this life - as I am sure you already know that.

I personally don't outsource as I am a writer/author but what I have found is the age of karaoke gave birth to would-be singers who previously would not even sing in the bath for fear of someone hearing them. Video content gave birth to would-be filmmakers and the blog world blossomed would-be writers.

What I am saying is be careful when you outsource your writing projects because writing is very, very different to article creators. You really want a writer who will give your website high quality content and when you have high quality content your prestige will rise, your visitors will come back and your business will obviously be elevated.

This forum has many terrific writers so anyone reading this should check them out but if I could offer one piece of advice it would be: there is a reason a writer is charging very cheap fees and badly-written content can be more damaging than no content at all.

I find it pretty simple to know if my outsource was good. I post it on EZA and if it gets accepted it is fine.

Obviously if you are paying $2 per article, you will get what you have paid for. It can't be well researched and or quality stuff.

A well researched article for 400-500 words will cost you around a minimum of $10.

    Cheers!

There are so many factors that effect what you get from an outsourced product, from the amount of money spent, to the level of communication achieved between the buyer and seller, I have spent more money and received poor results plenty of times, and spend less money and received great results, its not all about the money,)

Think about it this way you can go to a car lot and buy a cool looking car, and find out it need thousands of dollars in repairs, or you might find another nice looking car that needs new tires, which one is the better value?

I have seen outsourcer's, charge outrageous fees, for projects only to find that they have copied and pasted someone else's work, and presented it as their own, yes, it happens, and I have paid some people on fiverr.com and got decent content.

also the other way around but in that case, I only lost about $5

It is really not always about the money sometimes its about how well you communicate....
