My question is, can a press release created by someone else be submitted by you to other sites with your link?

I know it seems like it falls under the black hat category. The question comes more from curiosity and potentially press release plr?

    Besides that it is black hat and illegal, it is also duplicate content so it wont have any results anyway

    I wouldn't go that way... press releases have their purpose and they should be done in the right way to get the best results... it's not just like posting articles, spinning them etc... also, press releases are usually highly targeted do one particular subject or thing, so can you really duplicated someone's press release to fit your website or product?

    It is not difficult to rework a press release - you can make it unique without spending a ton of effort, no reason to copy someone elses work.
