    Hi,

    To offer a service on oDesk you need to make sure that you sign up as a contributer......I would also recommend that you take a number of the competency tests to show the skills that you can offer.

    Do you have any skill that you can offer to employers? Here is a list of the typical services offered on Odesk, w w w.odesk.com/contractors/

    If you can do any of these really well then sign up as a worker and bid on projects.

    oDesk is a great resource. If you are looking for content writing, there are plethora writers on oDesk that are fast, cheap and effective. oDesk is a safe bet the contents in writing, then comes the hard part, using oDesk for link building.

    2. Fill out your profile with a compelling description of yourself, the services you offer, and your level of experience

    3. Upload some portfolio samples

    4. Take competency tests

    5. Click on "find jobs"

    6. Filter the search results down to jobs in areas you are interested in

    7. Apply for jobs by submitting a pitch (i.e. a description of how you would help the employer meet their objectives) and a relevant portfolio sample

    Before you do anything else check out the people at Odesk who offer similar services to yours. You'll see immediately who does a good job in terms of attracting a customer and then you can mimic what they do.

    You can also post a job as an employer (asking to do the thing you want to do) to see how people in your niche answer and what special they have to offer.
