Wish list and DAP together ??

I m using DAP on a site - I needed to add a new product and a new members area and you really cant do that with a single installation of DAP on the root.

So I bought WISHLIST and installed it for this one product - also thought I could test both.

Seems to work fine. HOWEVER

For about 10 days prior to installing withslist, DAP was setting up excessive processes and hostgator was shutting me down after 25 processes were set up. We had to keep killing processes caused by this - dap/client/website/dapclient.php

So I decided I needed to fix it so I send a ticket into DAP and this Veena is telling me to PICK A MEMEBRSHIP YOU CANT USE BOTH

She goes on to tell me theres all kinds of problems with my site and its not DAP ?

Its wish list and cart 66??

Anyweays Hostgator tells me very specifically its DAP and its here - dap/client/website/dapclient.php

Also it started BEFORE I put in cart 66 and wishlist.

Anyone have any ideas as to how I might solve this problem - I thought this would be a good opportunity to test wishlist and dap and decide which one I want heck MAYBE ILL USE BOTH - I paid for them in fact I paid for the big license on each.

Anyway if you have any experience with this your thoughts would be appreciated.

Mark

I not sure about the processes, but you should be able to add a new members areas in DAP with no problem using the same installation.

After you add a new product, create a new log in page for that product and then have the new members for this product redirected to this page when they log in (do this in the products section to override the site's login default).

If you need to additional pages to deliver more content, create them as needed and link them from that members login page and protect them as needed.

It can still be worked around.

As far as the navigation/menu issues what I did was to design how I wanted the inside of another product member's area to look in Dreamweaver and added the navigation within the those pages and then copied and pasted that code into a WP page and made minor adjustments there.

From there it was just a matter of changing the login redirect within the product and adding and protecting pages as needed. I use the Socrates theme and set the pages to be displayed using the sales page template after pasting the code in and it looks fine.

It's not a perfect solution but a possible alternative if you're using a theme that has a sales page template included with it.

    Mark,

You could also just add a new blog in a sub-folder under the same domain, and the same installation of DAP can protect both blogs.
