PHP ebook for internet marketers.

Hello everyone!
I am planning to write an ebook that would teach people with no experience in programming to write basic PHP scripts in a matter of several hours. The highlight of the ebook will be making your own forum.

I would like to know whether this ebook would be interesting for Internet Marketers and what exactly would you guys like to see in it.

Thanks in advance

I would probably focus on another area rather than a forum. I know writing a forum is just an example of what you can do, but people like to apply what they've learned with what they'd like to use it for. There are so many off the peg forums available, I'm not sure many people would want to write one from scratch.

Things like htaccess, how to write cloaking scripts, tracking clicks, securing areas of websites for downloads and authentication for building membership sites would be areas I think would be most interesting.

      ^^^^ Listen to CBSnooper.
I think you will find it a very hard sell to target a PHP product to intenet marketers without showing them a way they can instantly apply it in their businesses.
I would say setting it out in building blocks producing immediately useful tools/scripts of increasing complexity would give you your best bet of success - IMHO

Personally I think a lot (majority?) of beginners to internet marketing fool themselves, or are fooled, into thinking they can build an online business without any understanding of the basic skills. Whereas anyone who has been online for anytime at all knows that without money and the ability to effectively outsource (which is a skillset all it's own!) - you will always run into the need to tweak HTML and CSS, install PHP scripts, do graphics etc.

      I wish you every success
      Rob

ya I agree with CBSnooper. I honestly do not see internet marketers wanting to spend the time to learn how to code up a forum from scratch, seeing that there's already so many off the shelf php forum scripts available. I mean, why reinvent the wheel? Internet marketers know that it's the marketing that generates money, not the technology, so I can't see them wanting to learn the technology when they can get others to do it for them, or get one off the shelf.

I believe you would be better off with a micro continuity program, than an eBook.

Like 12 important Lessons 30-45 minutes each. 1 lesson / week + homework
Your Costumers aren't general IM but students of the subject or freelancers with that interest.

    create a Video Series.
Deliver 1 Video / Week after order. Do a 30 days money back guaranteed & Give them something valuable after the 12 weeks course that they can benefit from (To get them to get through).

Example:an Ebook where you show them where they can apply the skills they've just learned in the course, to make money on the internet.

You can get 29$-49$ / product for such micro niche system, but take some time to plan what is the most valuable things they can learn.

Give them 2-3 weeks Free access Trial.

    Then just promote it .

You don't need to record more than the first week before you get the first trial. then after that you can record as demanded. Just so you don't make a 12 Weeks course that no one buys.

    Good luck!

Teach em how to hire programmers, and you might have something that Internet Marketers want.

    Hi,

As a PHP programmer in this space, I respectfully agree with the others about the 'write your own forum' idea (why would they?)...

Check out Robert Plank, who has been *killing* it in the IM world for ~ 5 years doing PRECISELY what you're suggesting...except (crucially) with a more 'IM-related' slant.

    E.g.

    Simple PHP

PHP on Crack: With Robert Plank!

    Hypnotic PHP!

Top Secret PHP: With Robert Plank!

    ...etc...

I wish you all the best! Us coderz need to stick together!

    Cheers,
    Steve
