I also recommend checking out the WSO section. I don't think you should buy everyone that you see but look around, check out reviews and then buy one that looks like its a good fit for you.

Welcome to the world of internet marketing. As was mentioned previously, definitely spend a good amount of time in this forum and checking out some of the good WSOs. There are also tons of great blogs out there that provide free information on a regular basis.

After you get a general knowledge of IM, you kind of need to pick an area to focus on (such as creating websites, blogging, social media, etc). Once you decide this, you can start looking for blogs, forums, and WSO specific to this area.

Internet marketing is a real business just like any other and wil require time and patience, it's always a good idea to first start with reasearch, learn as much as possible from what others are doing and for that purpose this forum is priceless.

After gaining knowledge on your particular topic, niche ,sub-niche that you like or have a skill set for you have to focus on that, so that over time you become the expert in that field and people or potential customers continue coming back to you for your info or your products.

Learn as much as possible, than implement, than repeat, your time and dedication will ultimately determine your success.

I think a niche or product based blog (eg. like an Amazon site) is a good place to start.

My advice is to learn as you go, accept that what you start out with is unlikely to pave the streets with gold but part of the learning process. Not to set you sights unrealistically (like making thousands per month with a blog) just be happy to make a sale a month, then scale.

I've just been reading about an affiliate who churns out 2-5 sites per week and is happy if he makes a sale per-month. I think that's a good mindset to have.

I suggest picking a recent step by step WSO and sticking to it..

i reccommed learning what you can and learning from other successfull affiliate marketers and do what they do, it will speed up your learning curve and progress.

Firstly learn to use wordpress, learn how to configure it, how to seo it, how to use it, how to secure it. Dont expect to earn thousands overnight. Learn from your mistakes.

Another tip that I can give you is check out Google Sniper2 by George Brown. It's a great resource for a newbie, no fluff and straight to the point methods.
