Warrior Help Needed - Contact Form to use on multiple sites NOT Autoresponder! :-?

"Can the uber-warriors solve my problem?"

I'm trying to find a contact form that I can add to multiple sites, which will email me the details upon submission but WON'T ask the user for an opt-in. It also needs to store the info in fields which can be exported.

Hmm, there are a billion WP plugins that do this!

Not really, they are all (as far as I know) stand-alone scripts, which is not easy to manage when you have 30+ sites all for the same company that want to manage these form submissions. Logging on to each site is time consuming. PLUS the one I am currently using is having Java confilct issues with other plugins and is not alerting me upon submission properly (which is costing sales).

What about Aweber?

As far as I can tell, these guys (same as others) want a double opt-in list from you (me). My form submissions are people asking me (or my company) to ring them back. They are not subscribing to information. I also do NOT need to be able to send them emails or auto-responses or a series.

In summary:
  • Web based
  • Form builder
  • HTML, Java, WP Plugin - to place on WP site
  • 1 Form fits all sites
  • Email form submission to me upon submission
  • Export data function
Can any of you good people help me solve this problem?

Thanks in advance!

What about this Email Me Form™ - HTML Forms, Web Forms, PHP Forms

I found it the other day when I was looking for a contact form for a non-wordpress site. Haven't tried it, but you can export the data, so it might be what you are looking for

One thing come to mind - the WP 'Contact Form 7' Plugin! If I have understood your needs correctly, this will be perfect for you.

Another little tip - get the WP 'Really Simple Captcha' Plugin as well. It integrates with Contact Form 7 to display a captcha field, reducing spam.

    Hope that helps!

I use gravity forms, it is very slick in that you can create forms with context. For instance, portion X of the form will only show up when box X has been ticked.

        Thank you for all your replies. With regards to WP Plugins, the main problem is this;

"Gravity Forms stores all form entries in your WordPress database"

If I have 30 sites, that will create 30 databases to manage. I really just need a front-end that send the submission to a centralized location (preferably hosted by a provider). Since I don't need to automatically respond to these entries, I don't require double opt-in subscription.

It looks like gravity forms will integrate with a few autoresponder services, so I am going to check them all out and see if there is one that doesn't require the dreaded double opt-in!

P.S. EmailMe was hard to alter the appearance of the form. It may need a lot of CSS applied to get it to fit in a sidebar.

You could install a self hosted AR script like ListMailPro or AutoResponse+

or... you could check out ImnicaMail which unless it's changed recently, allows single opt in. Rihello was also running a sale not so long back via WSO: http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...ons-added.html

What do you mean by "Export data function"? As far as I got it, you would like to have a database of emails but don't want people to opt-in? That's strange... and unethical if you plan to contact those people later to their emails...

Also, Aweber has "no double opt-in" function so you can probably get with them those features you want...

Hi guys, I know it is unusual what I'm trying to do, so let me clarify a little more.

      • User (UK) searches google for 'My Product'
      • Visits my site, and has option to;
      1. Call me (via number provided)
      2. Email me (via address provided
      3. Visit my store (via map provided)
      4. Request a call back, or email (via Contact Form)
      • Submission must be emailed to me immediately upon submission
      • User is not subscribing to a mailing list
      • WE will only contact the user if requested
      • Submissions need to be stored centrally (somehow) for reporting and analysis

You could use Gravity Forms (Paid) or Contact Form 7 (Free) and just create one email address for all of the forms to submit to? Then you would have all of your submissions in one email account.

Or do you need them stored in something besides an email account?

That is what we are doing now, but some of the emails are getting lost because the wordpress mail system isn't foolproof. It means logging into every site everyday to check the submissions from within the plugin.

A centralized solution would mean checking once or twice a day. Then we need to sort by site to see which sites/pages are performing/converting.

It may be possible to use Gravity Forms with the Campaign Monitor add-on (which is free and seems to have unlimited capacity if you don't send mails) but I will have to buy the developer licence of GF ($199) before I can even test out whether this 'hack' works :-/

I may have to resort to getting custom software built (owch)

I've been using the the WP 'Contact Form 7' Plugin pretty successfully. It does look a bit crummy though

I see what you mean now...

I actually use a seperate domain as a centralized Helpdesk (I registered DRT Online Ltd Support Help Desk!) and use this as the contact hub for all my sites.

All this is taken care of via Contact form 7.
Just go to your plugins dashboard, search for contact form 7, and install the 1t option that comes up.
No integration with AR necessary, you get email notification to any email address of your choice.

    Bada bing...
