eComm Warriors: Only 10% of my eComm sites ever become anything...please help!

Hey guys,

I have a lot ecommerce sites up on a custom platform in many different niches. Of all those sites, only about 10% ever go on to make any significant money.

What am I missing?

Thanks for your help.
Vic

Compelling offer? Traffic? Impossible to say without knowing what your definition of "e-commerce" is, and how you're marketing.

    Hey Gene,

Traffic is high, I usually rank in the top 3 for high-volume words and the stores are basically authority stores like you might see for grills or monitors or something.

Marketing is all via organic traffic.

Ill tell you right now what's wrong and it's easy to point out, you said you have many ecommerce websites and only 10% make you any money. You will not get rich by focusing your efforts on so many sites. Start with one, once that starts making you money build a team to continue maintaining that website. Once you have that down then move on to the next project ect. No point in having 20 websites and having two make you money, the rest are just taking away from your profits.

Try to avoid any niche thats easily available at the big box retailers (Wal mart, Kmart etc) if you say go for bath towels or something thats easily available you will never convert enough people no matter how much traffic you drive.

For example I recently built 5 well researched niche stores that had a proven demand of online customers out of those 5 only one converted - I canned the rest and focused on that one.
