Hey everyone!

Ive had some really great successes this past month, my niche site is now getting close to 300 visitors a day! -Checkout my screenshot below of traffic increasing weekly since August... Thanks for all the motivation and tips everyone

To achieve this, I have been focusing on creating great content, and then adding relevant info where applicable using FAQ's and additional blog postings. Recently, I started rehashing my content into youtube vids and syndicating them on youtube to create more avenues of publishing. Of note, I have limited the amount of back linking because I HATE it - instead I focused on onpage SEO.


I am now facing a little bit of discouragement in terms of generating some profits. I am using HEATMAP theme and have several affiliated products as well as adsense setup on my site. I thought Adsense would bring in more revenue than a dollar or two everyday. Anyone have any tips of monetizing with adsense or adsense optimization? (below is what I am currently bringing in with adsense - not exactly killing it but I am up 3x in adsense income over Oct. and theres still a week left in Nov.)

I've also started building a list and have 50 subscribers - I have yet to "tap" into this yet and will be working at reaching out to them soon though and trying to capture more opt-ins by giving out some premium content.

In any event, thanks all for the wonderful forum here - I have been putting in so much time and find myself working 8-10+ hour days on all of this. It can be overwhelming, but is exciting at the same time. Tips and recommendations are very much appreciated!

    I can't view your attachments. It would be great to know where you are ranking for your keywords in order to help you.

    I know that backlinking isn't the most fun part of SEO, but I think it is essential if you want to accelerate your progress. Can you get to number one without building backlinks? Sure. Will it take you longer than if you weren't building backlinks? Most definitely.

    All I am saying is that all things being equal (meaning content being generated for your site) that adding backlink building to the mix will always help as long as you know what you're doing.

    Thats great. You gotta keep going though. I guess its around about this point where you find working smarter rather than working harder pays dividends. Whatever tweaks you make to your site, do them one at at a time and see what results you get. Adsense returns can change significantly depending on word placements and context to the site.

    Now its about Traffic > Content > Conversion

      I am in a really competitive niche - my "main" keyword is one word that has nearly 9 million search results and its an industry dealing with the outdoors and outdoor products. I am ranking 24 in google for this main keyword right now. Hoping to get to top 10 by christmas, but will need to focus on backlinking it seems! Anyone have any easy and effective backlink strategies?
