Affiliate Marketing

Before I get into the nitty-gritty, I'd like to say that I made my first sale this morning! I just wanted to be a part of the "first sale forum post club"

While I'm working on driving traffic to increase my numbers from 1 sale a day to 25, I'm looking to expand my horizons during my downtime with CardCodeShop, and I feel that out of all types of IM, Affiliate Marketing would be the best way to go for me.

So I would like to know ways of making Affiliate Marketing a profitable venture. I'm familiar with the affiliate programs, and based on what I've been seeing in the forums, ClickBank seems like the best program to start with.

So after registering with ClickBank, I intend to promote their top sellers. What would be the next steps to efficiently get as many product pages as possible on the net for free?

I also saw "building a list" as being critical to the success of the IM'mer, is that applicable to what i am going to accomplish? If so, I would appreciate being pointed in the right direction to implement that strategy into this project.
