Multiple accounts, 1 Hosting Account??? Help Please..

Hey Warriors! I have a few questions and would GREATLY appreciate any suggestions you have...

I recently bought a new domain name and need to transfer it to my hosting account so I can build the site...

However I want to do a few things and was wondering how to do them exactly:

1) I currently have 1 website hosted on my VPS with WiredTree ...but I want to create a new site with a new IP so people can't do a reverse IP Domain search and see that it's hosted on the same account as my other domain already hosted on my WiredTree VPS....(WiredTree VPS's allow 4 IPs...so I want to move it to that hosting plan potentially but have no clue how to set this up in WebHost Manager).

2) I want it to have it's own unique nameservers (possibly displayed here: WiredTree – Documentation)

3) I want it to have privacy protection in WhoIs

I also have a bluehost account where I own some domains (with privacy protection on them)...

...so because of this should I have the domain there (set with my privacy protection) and point it at my wiredtree account where I set it up on a new IP? ...or should I just buy a whole new hosting package?

Also, do you set up separate hosting accounts for each website you have? Because isn't it risky to have all of your websites on 1 hosting account in case someone files a wrongful complaint against your site? ...b/c wouldn't all sites be taken down temporarily until the problem is settled?

Thanks! I appreciate your help and suggestions.

The only time I see marketers taking this amount of trouble to ensure unique IP addresses is when they are building out a blog farm or similar with cross linking to avoid a Google slap!
If your not doing that, I can't see why you would make it so complicated. I've had all my domains on the same Hostgator reseller account for years and never had any issues.
Having said that I wouldn't claim to be an expert in this area.

Many times your shared hosting account will share the same server/ip with several others, so one can't definitively tell from the IP which sites are yours.

I have only heard of big time marketers who are pioneering new product campaigns the don't want copied who bother to hide from the competition.

So in the worst situation with all your sites on one hosting account that did get banned, you would only then have to bother with the extra labor of securing new hosting account, dealing with multiple hosts unnecessarily sounds like another time sink many of us can't afford.

Take care to also not use the same Adsense, Google Analytics or Clickbank accounts on your multiple sites, there are spy tools that can match up the sites sharing these accounts.

I agree with others. You may be making this a bit more complicated than it needs to be.

But if you are trying to build a gazillion blogs, you should probably go for some sort of SEO hosting. There's a few here on the forum offering this service and it will most likely be cheaper than the VPS hosting you're currently using.

    Hi

It's a good idea to have a mix of hosts and domain name providers but not essential in most cases. If you have the budget for sure go for it but I have nearly 70 websites on some of my accounts with no problems so far. But when the server goes down ( and they all do at some point) then all your websites could be offline for a while so there is the benefit in multiple hosts.

Also, Namecheap give you free private domain names for a year.
