Squeeze page to avoid the Google Slap?

I'm looking to launch a new product with a salespage. I know Google can be a real pain with Adwords on this with the Google Slap. What I was thinking since I want to preserve my domain this site will be on in case Google slaps it, is to use another domain and simply put up a very SEO friendly squeeze page and then after they enter their email, they will be directed to my main sales page.
Do you think this is the best route or should I just put up my main sales page and risk it? I really don't want that site and domain to be slapped because I like the domain, etc.
Thoughts? Advice?
