Fast And Easy Product Creation Tip

Having difficulties coming up with an information
product?

Try this...

1. Research the FAQ pages and forums in your
niche and identify the top 7-10 frequently asked
questions.

2. Go to Fiverr and find a gig that offers to audio
record your text. Get them to record each question
leaving a 30 second gap between each one.

3. Record yourself answering the questions. It will
be easy for you because it's your niche, you know
the questions and you can rehearse your answers!

4. Edit the recording together and add an intro and
summary (DIY or another Fiiverr gig) to round it off.

You now have an audio product.

If you want to add value, get it transcribed and add
the transcription to your package as a PDF.

You could have a product completed within 2-3 days
at most. Even more quickly if you got a friend to ask
and record the questions.

Good stuff !!! I never thought about that . Just might give it a go and get started . One question : i am not sure a lot of people would be crazy about having audio . I think most people like watch over my shoulder videos they can easily follow .

I guess you could always do a pdf ... Just saying

    It is an ingenious idea

Don't let questions like this stop you.

Would you sell more copies if you had audio, video and PDF versions? Yes!

Should that stop you selling just the audio version while you develop the others? No!

Get the product to the point some people will buy it and start selling it, then improve based on customer feedback

Okay, so you get a quick and easy audio
product ready for sale. You can then add
        a transcript.

If your questions and answers are delivered
in a structured and logical sequence, you
might then be able to add a step-by-step
action plan. Or maybe a checklist or a
        workbook.

The point is... you create something that
you can take to market quickly
        ... you can
then survey your customers and see what
additional content they want and how they
would prefer to have it delivered.

          John... this is BRILLIANT!

The Q & A method has got to be the quickest method to put together a product. Love the Fiverr twist too. Terrific idea.

In very little time, you've got a genuine product that can be used multiple ways. That in itself is grand... but what I really like about this the power it gives one to create introductory products to test new markets. The potential of this idea is endless.

Yes - exactly John, great ideas.

We have found bundling summary checklists, action plans and work pages a very popular way to differentiate even on the rapidfire products you are talking about here.

We can typically get these done on outsource for a few bucks too.

As well as looking to forums and FAQ, look at a magazine related to your topic, blog posts, Amazon comments against major books that are already selling in that mraket AND my personal favorite, run weekly polls on your blog if you have one in your market - these give you common questions/tips on what's hot.

Sorry, one other thing - I have done this often by having someone I know (with a decent voice) jump on freeconferencecall.com and we record them interviewing me (the same 7-10 questions you mention above) - that way the dialog is a little more dynamic (they can ask follow-up questions, make comments, etc...) and with this service, they record the call for free to mp3

Yes, of course, it's possible to enhance the
process. Especially if you already have a
list of people with the skills and talents to
              conduct an interview.

For properly structured interviews I use Skype
together with Pamela.biz to record my calls.

The point of my original post was to demonstrate
how an individual can get a product to market
quickly and easily without any outside help and
              within a very limited budget.

One of the biggest barriers facing those people
who are new to this business is getting some
inertia in the market. The best way of overcoming
that barrier is to get something to market using
              a simple and fast process.

Once you have even a small presence you can
build upon it by acquiring new customers and by
making incremental improvements to your product.

I use Audacity which is completely free and there

Thanks Guy's. I keep getting clients asking me to record sales letters for video...it is something I thinking of doing. Have to say though I do look at a lot of video products/copy and they do sound a bit silly. However, the quality is in the information and as long as it is clear.

    Love the idea!

I myself don't like audio or video, so what I would do is either:

Copy/paste 10 of my blog posts into a formatted PDF and sell that as an ebook

    or

Research 10 blog posts about a specific topic, contact the author, ask if I could include them in an ebook with direct links back to their site, and sell that as well.

There's always great ways to create great products!

If you don't want to outsource the audio for transcripts here's a way that works well for me to get them immediately.

I know a lot of people use a headset mic to record audio, but I use a mic on the desktop and then use the headset for Dragon Naturally Speaking with it at the same time. It's slightly awkward but works.

Just clean up the transcripts a little when your done and you're ready to go.

It doesn't matter. You can quickly and easily
set up your own payment button in PayPal.
Or, if you want to recruit affiliates, you can
use a payment gateway such as DigiResults,
e-Junkie or any of the others out there.

John, excellent idea. Hadn't thought of the Fiverr twist.

Had a thought while I was reading the replies. Why just have one person record the questions? I'm going to try asking assorted friends, associates, etc. to each record one question, probably into my little voice recorder.

Multiple voices might make the product sound more like a seminar recording or mastermind session rather than an interview.

Either way, it's something that can be noodled over on the holiday and in the market by the weekend...

        Great suggestion.

That's why I love this forum.... start a thread
with a simple concept and the original idea
grows and develops as other Warriors brainstorm
        and contribute suggestions and improvements.

I've used a few different people on Fiverr
      with mixed results.

The good guys are in demand and the cost
per minute tends to go up as they get good
      feedback.

I prefer not to recommend anyone because

Plenty of people want audio, but you could also use on your site as web content as you suggested.

It's important to remember that just because you believe that it won't sell because you don't like it, doesn't mean that there aren't a lot of other people out there that would like to listen to information on their Mp3 player.

The more formats you have of the information to meet peoples wants and needs, the wider the potential customer base you'll have. Personally I like to get information in pdfs, Mp3 and videos.

Exactly. Hence my post earlier when I suggested
that it's important to get something out into the
market. Once you have a foothold. you can give
your customers content in the format that they
        want.

However, I have a squeeze page in one of my niche
markets where the new subscriber gets a free MP3
recording of a simple interview and I have yet to
receive a request for that recording in any other
form. Most people say it makes a refreshing change
to have something they can listen to on their iPods.
