WordPress Most Important Plugins Advice Plz

Hello Warriors

What are the important wordpress plugins that are must for a new blogger ? I m new to the internet marketing and want to know best plugins for it.

    Except the anti-spam plugins NOTHING is a must for every blog.

    You install plugins ONLY when you know exactly what additional features are needed on your site that are not in the vanilla WP installation.

    Even anti-spam isnt 100% necessary. If you dont mind wading through spam comments to find the genuine ones.

      I agree with Istvan - plugins aren't really necessary...but having some of them makes running your blog so much easier.

      To me: Akismet, Conditional Captcha, Wp-Backup, and Secure WordPress are my most important plugins...all the rest of them can be replaced or even eliminated

        I'd say XML sitemap generator, All in one SEO and Diggdigg. You can easily do a Diggdigg style social scroller without the plugin but if you're php illiterate this will help you generate social links while you're learning.

          I found this very handy when it comes to most effective and usefull plugins for wordpress other than that premium plugins for specifics on what you what to do just search plugins on the forum i have found that works latest one i have come across is @jonathansteyns.com real time saver actually if you into that sort of thing hope that help you with your plugins query

    I think the most important plugin for WordPress is "Hello Dolly"

    Seriously though, it really depends on what features and the type of site you are creating.

    Use an anti-spam plugin if you have comments enabled.

    Use pretty-link-lite if you want to cloak your affiliate links.

    Plugins are tools, just like a shovel is used to dig a ditch or a backhoe might be used to dig a large ditch, they can be good or bad or even ugly. but the facts are that plugins are a big business, you can choose what works for your website.

    So I guess the question here is to plugin or not to plugin...

    17,147 plugins, 236,989,815 Downloads and counting...


    This is just on Wordpress.org, now, imagine all the private plugins out there and all the downloads that are distributed on closed networks.

    I think the obvious factor here is not if you will use a tool to help your site perform better but which tools are best for your websites needs.

    Some have a better track record others just plain dont work at all, for example I used to use all in one SEO, but found that over time it just did not perform for my needs, it may work better for your needs, but I use a post page, theme, global level seo tool, that produces a better result, as well I dont have to deal with conflicts that at times would create an issue while using All in one SEO,

    Bottom line, find out what you need to do then find the tools that will help you get that job done...
