How'd you present your WSO if..

Hey,

If you have a WSO that's based on offering some web templates you have designed yourself, how would you have launched it and present it to the warrior fellas?

Instead of just uploading all the files, codes, images, and scripts in a zip file, how else do you think can be done?

Be creative!

If you're the one who actually created them then I guess you're pretty familiar with coding in general. It would be neat to basically make a "designer" program that works with your templates - something like colorizeit.com.

Basically, they go to the page where they can download your template but give them the option to customize its colors before downloading it - depending on how you code it, it should be as simple as editing the CSS.

Just a thought I haven't seen any other WSO do that

What's wrong with a zip file?

Creativity for the sake of creativity is stupid. Use creativity to solve problems. "My download is in a familiar format that I recognise and understand" is not a problem.

I don't think they were asking about the actual format of the download unless I just misunderstood - I thought they were asking about a better way to delivering it to customers.

Thanks Chase Watts, I actually thought of this method in the first place. However, I'm not too familiar with creating a such advanced website program that grabs users preferences and output it to be as simple as editing CSS. Web templates were only used as an example, but what I got is pretty similar.

I will have a look at colorizeit.com and get back to you.

      Thanks for your suggestions!

Darklock, I'm sorry, I may have mislead the question. What I meant, and what I'm trying to achieve is not only to be different to others (zip files), but to create a better platform for newbies to get started easily, or more convenient for the experienced users.

In this case, codes may be confusing and messed up for a total newbie. So I'm looking for a outstanding way to deliver it!

Something like what Chase Watts has mentioned, what do you think of it?

      Thanks for your clarification.

I haven't done it before because I mainly just concentrate on services that provide residual income. However, there are websites like Wordpress Theme Generator - Create your own Wordpress Theme. that already allow you to do this. That link just lets you edit the default theme for WordPress but could be applied to any theme. As long as all the themes are either HTML or based on the same software, then you could just have one universal editor that could be used for any that you offer.

      Something similar would be nice!

I was thinking if there's any sort of html editor script that I can download, and possibly upload to my host, so the users can alter the colors etc, & generates the theme codes automatically for them?

      is it possible? anyone?
