Survey....What Is Best on CL?

Hi all....

I'm trying to find a product or service that is selling well on Craigslist.

I've been looking at selling websites...but i also noticed that MANY SERVICES also advertise on CL.

-contractor services
-used car parts
-etc

Hoping for some feedback from experienced CL posers..

What do you think sells best on Craigslist?

    In terms of products you may want to consider things that are expensive to ship. If people are looking for a deal they are more likely to stay local. Furniture is an example of this. Maybe you can work with a local office furniture store and do Cl marketing for them if you don't want to take the inventory risk.

    Here's something to think about...

    If you had a product that was kicking ass on CraigsList and you read this post, would you answer it and open yourself up to competition or would you laugh and click the back button?

        Clearly, you took my answer as a snide comment. It was not meant to be that way. It was meant to tell you that people are quick to help with basic info and knowledge, but not so quick to reveal their own personal trade secrets.

        Judging from the amount of activity in this thread, my assumption was correct.

        Personally, I do not use Craigslist for anything except hiring people, so you will not be seeing a product on the subject from me anytime soon.

    I don't know how this would factor into IM but Music gear especially guitars get really quick hits at least they do out here. But in all honestly I don't think anything sells too great. Most people treat that site like a virtual garage sale.

      I think Guitars would sell well....along with Computers, Cars, Household items, and Guns.

      Yes indeed...it is more like a Garage Sale site.

      NOW....what about services ?

      Would a CPA get leads from CL?

    I've used CL successfully for leads, but product sales I've gotten no results.

    Electronics always do well. Cell phones, digital cameras, etc. These are always good products to move.
