What's Wrong With The Warrior Forum?

Hi,

Why have one to log in 7-8 times before the WF let's you in? Each time it says 'thanks for logging in' but as soon as you navigate you have to submit your Username again. Then it is the same story all over again.

So, to log in intially it takes 7-8 submissions...then to navigate it takes 7-8 submissions...to ask a question 7-8 submissions etc. etc.

It takes me 30 minutes to ask 1 question in this forum.

Don't understand why this is happening??

Dave

Are you checking the box that says remember me or whatever it says on the login page?

I can't even get in using http://www.warriorforum.com - it sends my browser on a spiral of timeout. But this problem is going on for quite some time, weeks actually.

If you using IE this process may help you to not login again and again.

Tools-> Internet Options-> General Tab-> Setting-> Enable Tabbed Brousing-> Always open POP Ups in new tab->Ok

Then you restart your browser once. if you still have this problem to log in again and again . i ll explain the clear details of your issue.

Security settings in windows can also slow webpages, but more often than not it's a browser related problem. Try giving the pc a good 'ol fashioned reboot, switch off your router and after startup is complete, turn back on the router and your ready to rock. If still you're struggling try using a different explorer.

Chances are it's not the forum, its been running smoothly on my side.

    Goodluck!

I've yet to have a single database error or timeout yet....*knock wood". I use nothing but Firefox. Probably with the very steady growth of the forum is possibly causing the issues, how many thousands are on this site right now, a few thousand at least 24-7-365. Just thinking out loud

This is actually one of the few websites that I've never once had a problem with.

Now that I've said that I'm just going to sit here and wait for the error. I know it's coming now.

I get a database error at around 9am UK time (3am EST) every morning. I just figured it was maintenance or something?

The errors at that time are due to maintenance, as you guessed. That will happen every day at the same time.

The other errors tend to go away if you log in to a sub-section, rather than the root URL. For instance, logging in to Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum will require the password once, and then you should be fine.

        Hi Paul,

Any way to make some simple cosmetic changes to
the error page so we know its "updating" instead of
        "down"?

I don't know. That page is a system error page, not part of vBulletin.

Delete cookies and clear your cache. Also make sure that your virus scanner isn't causing an issue. Your browser has security settings that could cause this too.

Although the forum has been running pretty poor lately. Maybe Allen should rase WSOs to $100.00 and put the thing on a cloud. ;P

And I thought it was just me - I use Chrome and I have to log in 4 or 5 times sometimes, then it randomly kicks me out again. Been doing that for the past week or so - before that, it made me reset my password every time I tried to log in. Strange...

Happened again to me today & this time I was browsing from my iPad using safari so obviously nothing to do with Firefox cookies! I also tried it using another iPad browser (terra) and the problem was still present.

All other sites accessed were absolutely fine so it seems to be very much the WF which is the problem.
