Can I get a refund of fiverr for a false gig?

I ordered a gig for a voice over of text.

It was advertised that it would be a person doing it, but it's obviously some software.

Can I get my money back?

Report it to Fiverr support. I am sure they will take care of you.... but before you do that, ask the seller for a refund.

    From Fiverr:

    How to reject a delivery...

Rejecting a delivery can be done using the ‘more options...’ link available on the lower right hand corner of the delivery box. Then, click the 'Got Problems?' link and choose the 'Reject Delivered Work' option.

Yes you can but they will debit the $5 back into Fiverr so that you can buy another gig with it. I purchased a video gig from Fiverr only to find out that the person was selling copyrighted videos I contacted the original owners and sent all the details to Fiverr. They were very quick to respond and also banned the user. The customer support was very quick and very good.

Maybe this will help the next time around, but a lot of people don't bother to check the seller ratings before ordering a gig.

The seller I used had a good rating and I used to use Fiverr a lot and have spent somewhere in the region of $150 on gigs. It just so happens that I know a bit about the adult side of things and this particular seller was selling copyrighted content which either nobody picked up on or just did not realise what he was doing. Having said that out of all the gigs I have purchased that was the only one which I reported. The person had obviously made money from it or they had fake ratings which is pretty easy to do on Fiverr

You'll get your money back. Just reject the gig and report it to customer service, as other posters have said.

Could you post a link to the gig here? I'd like to see it.

I love Fiverr for entertainment purposes, but for business purposes, I wouldn't go there, personally. I'm sure there are some honest sellers on there, but there are also some ''marks" on there who are supposed to be professionals, looking to get something for nothing (i.e., "I need you to re-write my 21-page report, but re-write the first 3 pages first so I can test your writing skills."). Ask me how I know...But anyway, play your cards right and I hope you get reimbursed.

$5 is returned to your Fiverr account. Not $4.

I have bought a bunch of Gigs on Fiverr.com and I am pretty happy over all.

I have had one vendor not deliver and I sent several emails to them. Then a couple weeks later (ya, I'm slow like that sometimes) I reported it to support. I got my $5 credit a couple hours later.

I also once had a vendor not deliver and they contacted me to tell me they couldn't deliver so they canceled the Gig. Interesting but a pleasant surprise.

Gigs on Fiverr have varied for me, some really good. For a cancelled gig Fiverr support will credit your Fiverr account the $5 but will not refund your Paypal account (its in their TOS).

Did you contact the seller first ? I am sure if he having a good feedback will go for it even without taking an action like reject delivered work.

      Yup i agree,

I have to admit, that fiverr support is very good, and it needs to be reported to them so they can handle this properly, and investigate it further.

Sorry to hear that they got you.

I do however have a little 'bad news', out of 10 gigs, 9 will be good fiverr gigs there is normally one bad egg in the bunch. But is too be expected I think. Does spoil it a little bit yes.

Looks like the layout on fiverr has changed. There are no more options to
reject the delivered work... that I can see anyway.
Or maybe time is up to reject it. Anyhow.... getting a bit fed up with
Fiverr and the crap gigs and sellers out there. Sometimes it's great,
    other times really shockingly bad.

I guess the best way is to sort by ratings.
