Should I assume somethings wrong

It been more than 48 hours since I change my nameservers at my register domainorb to the nameservers given to me by hostgator.

At the time I received the message DNS change successful and I have done this before.

It has never taken this long before should I assume I have made a mistake somewhere.

  • It shouldn't take that long. Check first that you entered the new DNS records correctly, then contact HG support and/or your domain registrar support to see what's wrong. Most are very willing to help.
  • Thank you will do
  • If your ISP caches the old information, it will take long.
Delete all cache (this is your own browser cache, don't get confused) from your IE/Firefox, restart and try again. If it does not work, then your ISP should be taking longer to refresh - ask someone else who uses a different ISP to test your site and see if it works.
If it does not, contact Hostgator.
