Hello All,

My name is DeShawn Johnson and I am new to Warrior Forum. I am here because I want to make money online as many of you that are already here have! The only thing is that I don't know where to start nor do I know how to make a quality website. With so much information on the web these days it's hard to tell who's real and who's not! A co-worker of mine told me about this site and advised that I join. So here I am and I am open to an and all suggestions. From what I can tell this is the place where people are about their business. I just finished reading Rosalind Gardner's "Super Affiliate Handbook" and now I'm ready to get started. Could anyone point me in the right direction? I've looked at many websites for site building like wysiwyg.com, sitesell.com, Niche Profit Classroom, and Avanquest.com. I'm sure there are plenty of others, but which ones do I choose to go with? I've elected to go with Hostgator.com for hosting and all my domain names. Next I just need some guidance on what niche to pick to start building and making money online. Please advise!

    Whats up man, stick around.

To be honest I didn't really like this place for the longest time.. I'm a member of plenty of other IM forums, most of them a bit 'darker' than what is allowed here.

BUT I did see the potential of WF so I gave it a chance, and needless to say I'm still here.. its actually a really great community, aside from the occasional troll or know-it-all. lol

Just make sure you actually read the forum rules here. Especially regarding your signature. lol

    Hi Johnson,

    welcome here.

Yes, you can get a lot here to help you kick-start your online money making activities. I have just a short list of don'ts:

    don't be in a rush,
don't think that the money will come over night,
    don't think that it's easy
    don't have a negetive mindset
    don't be discouraged
don't believe everything you are told
    don't buy everything
    don't try everything
    don't even read everything
    don't think to fail
    don't be lazy
don't fail to use your brain

Just hang on and you will learn more. I'm stepping out.

    Welcome on warriorforum deshawn,

If you want to learn about site buildling I recommend www.wordpress.org most marketers user wordpress to build their sites.

As for the niche, nobody can tell you your niche for two reasons. First of all if somebody finds an super-profitable niche he wouldn't share it with others because that would increase his competition on the niche and harm his profits. The second reason is that you should select your niche according to your interestes and your knowledge. It wouldn't be good to promote weight loss products if you have no idea about weight loss and you are not even interested in weight loss. So ask yourself what are your interestes, find websites on that niche that have affiliate programs and start building your own affiliate websites.

Last but not least: Build a list. Email marketing is still very profitable.

    Hello and welcome to WarriorForum.

As you probably know by now, there is a lot of useful info in here, but if you are serious about making money, limit your forum time to what's necessary - for example, if you're just building a blog, or creating youtube videos, that is what you should be doing, not hanging around on forums. But it's fun every now and then, just don't let the information overload set in

As for your questions.. You're asking what niche to pick in order to make money.

The broad answer is that there is money in almost every niche, but you probably want to know the sweet spots right?

I'd say look for evergreen markets. Fat loss, make money, online education (various how-to's) and so on. Go where the money is.

Always have a clear answer when you're creating your content.. why would anyone want to read/watch this? That is a good perspective to have - since people don't care whether they make you money or not. They want information, entertainment.. they have all sorts of their own, selfish reasons, and the last thing they think about is whether they make you money.

Give 'em what they want, and they'll give you what you want.

    The rest is technicalities

Welcome to the forum. This is a great place. Lots of helpful people.

Also, as a newbie, don't buy anything that promises the world because if there was any one method or software that worked for everyone, no one would be here.

You need to know that IM is a business and regardless of the headlines, it does take some work.

However, you can leverage your time and money by being smart about it.

Join the War Room as there is a lot of great free stuff in there.

Go to the Make Money Online forum to get free ebooks on specifics. Some are fluff but some are really valuable. You do not have to sign up to get them in that forum, too.

Pick a market, pick a niche. How to do that can be googled or found here, too.

If there is any one thing you want to know, search this forum for it.

Take some time and read. Pick one method and one niche and stick with it until you got it.

Lack of focus and jumping from one make money scheme to another will just burn you out and leave you frustrated and this is why so many newbies quit.

    Good luck.

Take your time and look around.
This is a great starting place, but you can spend a lot of money on helping others make money.
Also it can become a addicting a big time waster. There is a lot of free information around on just about how to anything if you do not need lot of support.

Niche, keywords and traffic are good to get training on. You do not have to pay big bucks nowadays. I saw a wso for keywords training for only a buck.

Blogs are great to start off they are free ones out there like blogger.com from Google and fast to learn about. If you are ok with html that hosting is the way to go.

Welcome and good luck with your venture.

If you are new then there are so many things to consider but let me just start off by saying this...

This business is no different from any other business. It will take time and a lot of effort.

There are many on this forum who can guide you but don't rush in thinking you will have it made by this time tomorrow. It is going to be a long journey but if you properly plan your journey and stick to the trail then you have just as much chance as anyone.

    Good luck with it!

Starting an Internet Marketing Business is a slow process and needs the correct mindset. Not everyone can make money on line. There is so much to think about as you well know from the frustration. So where do we start? What kind of mindset do we need to make this business work? Here are just a few pointers that may help you...

            Work Ethic...Focus!
Learn the necessary skills and take ACTION!
            Self Belief!!!
            Never Give Up!
            Be Human!
            Be Yourself!!!
            Love People!
Act as if you cannot fail!!!
            Learn something new every day!
Get out of that comfort zone!

It is very important that you mix with like-minded people, a Forum like this one where you can mix with people who can help you.

Whatever it's called, you must speak with these people regularly.
When you do many things happen.

The contact with others energizes us
            Technical problems are sorted
            The feeling of belonging returns
Relief that others have similar problems; you're not alone
            Confidence and self-esteem return
Ideas hum through your mind constantly
New ways of approaching business appear as if by magic

So if you are in the lonely camp I want you to stop. Right now!
Just Stop! I want you to do this.

I want you to set your mind to learning a new skill. A skill that, once learned, you can pass on to others. Many people online earn money by helping or teaching others the skills that they have learned themselves.

We've all been there at the beginning, like you. Not knowing what to do first. Learn a skill, pass it on. Learn another, pass that one on. And so on. Once learned you're an 'expert' in that skill.

Remember, focus on what you like to do or want to do. If you can't decide, learn a new skill. Any skill. Who knows where it can lead to?

Best of British Luck to you, mate.

    Welcome!

WF is the right decision! It sounds like you need to figure out your objective- where does your interest lie? What type of IM are you wanting to do and then find a niche or top you enjoy and have knowledge about.

Then, go looking for those methods and niches. If you start the other way around and don't know exactly how to or what to market, you will be pulled a dozen different directions, literally

Take your time, stop in to different forums and say hello. There are many helpful Warriors in here.

    Peace.

    Why not follow Rosalind's ebook?

I'm not trying to be a jerk because I haven't read Rosalind's book and I'm not sure what all is in it. But some or most or all of the answers you need to get started are probably at least mentioned in the book.

I'm trying to make a point. You said
With so much information on the web these days it's hard to tell who's real and who's not!
but then start asking questions you MAY already have the answer to in Rosalind's book. That's a surefire recipe for information overload and not actually getting anything productive done.

Maybe I'm way off base - if so I apologize. But for MOST people they already KNOW what to do they just don't go and DO it.

Again welcome and good luck in your endeavors.

    Mark

Welcome to the forum. There is a lot of great information here. The key is to put what you learn into action immediately and avoid buying every new product or WSO that comes out. If you purchase a product make it a point to use what you have learned before you purchase a new product. Otherwise you will spend a ton of money and never make any progress.

Making money online is no walk in the park. It takes a great deal of discipline and commitment. But if you stick with it and never give up, you will be successful.

To begin with, you need to choose your target audience. Here is my free 300+ page ecourse, "Internet Marketing 101" to get you started.

I also suggest a mentor or coach to help you develop your own unique vision so that you stand out instead of just following the herd.

I would go to Offervault, join for free and watch all of the Webinar replays. Most are around 1 hr long and provide great intro into website setup, design, automation, content, linkage, etc. I did it when I was getting started, took out a big old spiral notebook and took many many notes....Guess what: I still go back to that notebook even today for reminders and tips.

    Good luck.

The involvement of this forum and reading the advice of other on internet marketing has got me excited about creating some of my own online products. Stick and around and read what other have to say - I have found a lot of insights and some great tips and sources here.
