New site, GiveMeAEuro

Hello all,

I just finished my latest creation! It is somewhat similar to million dollar home page, except I am offering ad space on an image slider, I am also donating 20cent to a charity in Ireland, which is where I am from. But I just wanted to get your thoughts on the site.
I set up this site so I can hopefully finish college without any massive student debt.
I know it can go one of two ways and hopefully it will go the right way! But let me know and sure if you have a euro well feel free to donate!

    I don't think this is going to work to be honest. The reason that million dollar homepage worked was because it was a unique idea that got media attention. As soon as it gets media attention it becomes a website that generates traffic and is therefore valuable to those who advertise on it. Your idea isn't unique and IMO isn't executed as well as million dollar homepage. What you are doing is essentially offering a backlink that only appears on the website some of the time.

    If you insist on continuing with the site I would suggest having the ads be more prevalent. When I land on your homepage you should be advertising the clients websites that have donated not trying to get a donation out of me. If you don't put the advertising at the forefront it will never work.

      Good point! I agree with you there. I must look into adding that but at the same time being unique because otherwise it would essentially just be the million dollar home page..

      I will look to change this! Thanks for the advice!

    Yes it has really less chances of working because it isn't showing what it is made for...

    Think yourself why will you donate if you don't see any profit in it ! When your visitor lands he/she/ should see something new and appealing !!

      Thanks Sam! Yes I agree with you there, I know what you are saying! Must look into this. I was going to do a day by day or even week by week blog on my progress. But for someone simply landing on the page it doesn't say much.

    I wish you well with it. (I won't ask whether you think the Euro itself will last as long as your graduation-date.)

    Just a minor suggestion, but if you're editing stuff, I think "People who have donated" might be a preferable heading to "People that have donated"? (Something like "Register of donors" or even "Register of kind donors" might be better still?).
