Posting On Multiple Blogs

I am presently using Ping.fm to send my blog to the usual sites. I am also sending it to several sites that are not linked to Ping. Is there a service that will send my blog to any sites that I list?

I strongly recommend that you do this manually and not with the help of a program, because you will be considered as spam.

I love pinfm but have to agree that most of your traffic gen efforts should be manual and I would say outsourced if you can afford it. Look in the service section of the forum for some great deals.

I'm not quite sure what you are asking. I've never used Ping dot fm, but it looks like a social bookmarking or social posting service.

Yet your heading sounds as if you are looking for either blog commenting or article posting.

I use ping to send my blog posts to 5 sites. I also send it to 3 other networking sites. Is there something I can use instead of ping that will send to all eight sites?

I think the OP was talking about posting to social media sites using ping.fm, not pinging blogs.

Ping.fm is a tool that you can use to link twitter profiles, facebook profiles, facebook pages, linkedin profiles etc together so you can do status updates all at once .. there's more things you can do with it though because there's quite a few third party apps.

I couldn't really say without knowing which sites you're wanting to update, think you're going to need to be a bit more specific so we can help you better

  • What is Ping.fm? Is this a tool that will auto post your blog? Can someone explain how this works?

@OP: If you are concerned with FB and Twitter only, you may want to check-out twiterfeed (look it up - it's free too). IF you want a whole lot more than even ping.fm, look for onlywire (free for limited use).

My pleasure! ping.fm is a website where you register and add credentials of/authenticate your accounts of many other social bookmarking sites (they support something like 20+?). Now, whenever you post something on your blog/site, you also go to ping.fm, login and post/bookmark something about your new post to all the sites you have linked with in one shot.

I know my take on syndication versus duplicate content goes against the grain, but over the last couple of years, I worked for a service that was built entirely on syndicated content - and they were doing an awesome business. I have written extensively about syndication and am a big supporter of the process.

I've never been one to write with all the Google Rules and heavy could of page rank in mind. Worrying about Google and PR is just two additional worries I don't have time for.

I list my blogs on every possible RSS directory I can that is complimentary to my work. A blogger friend of mine put together an amazing list of directories and has allowed me to share it - you can find the directory on the resources page of my blog linked in my signature.

        If you're interested in bulk pinging - the sites I've heard used most often are: Pingomatic.com - PingMyBlog.com - PingDevice.com and BulkPing.com

        Cheers,

I like the suggestions on the ping services. BulkPing.com is the only site I have found where I can instantly create feeds out of many URLs to create into one URL feed and then take it to a site like IMTalk.organd and ping that all up.

I do that for backlinks all the time, and I couldn't tell you one way or the other if these links get indexed any quicker than had I just let the links get found by the search engines on their own, but it takes very little time to do it, and it;s just become part my process. However, it does take up to an hour or more sometimes for IMTalk.org to ping all 2500 of the sites they communicate with. But that's alright by me because it makes me feel as though something is actually being done.

Its good, but the thing is that if you use too many blogs to png, it will create duplicate content issue

The best way to do this is manually. If you use any automated system, you may get disabled on top blogs and forums. Good Luck.. !

I'm not using such services, but I know about several applications to post in multiple blogs.
Take a look to Scribefire or Windows Live Writer.

In Wordpress I use the "Ultimate Smart Update Pinger" Plugin which allows you to set up a list of pinging services (which I listed below the ones I use). What I do is set the plugin to NOT Automatically ping anything. Then, when I have added content that I think is worthy are ready I press the "ping services" button. WP will ping every time anything changes on your blog. This is a good way to avoid ping spam.

sonicadam123 is right. I was talking about Ping.fm. I am already using that for the sites that Ping.fm links to. In my niche I have come across several networking/blogging sites that I am posting my blog to. They do not link to Ping.fm. So I am doing this manually one at a time. This takes a long time. I am looking for some tool/device/software that will allow me to streamline this task. Any help will be appreciated. :-)

Have you thought about hiring someone from Fiverr to do that for you? They would be up to date on the best programs out there.
