Looking for blurring out software

I don't know if there is any free software that can blur out information on screen captures or videos I am doing. I've heard of Snagit, but I think there's a fee. Does anyone else know of other programs out there that do this? Thanks a lot!

  • Screenflow 3 does this. You'll have to buy a Mac of course.
  • Camtasia studio can easily do that. When editing video go to call-outs and then choose blur call-out.

    • Yeah, I can't get it to work on FF8 (on both my computers). Oh well! At least it works on Chrome.
      Do you also use a particular video editing software so that you can blur out text?
