    Hi,

Now I outsource everything but when I started I always selected niches which were of real interest to me & that helped me to churn out great content.

And content which required some research, I always preferred to read articles from other authors in leading article directories. It really helped!

    Cheers

Sounds like a great process Kyle.

Since I am genuinely interested in the topic on my blog I am usually more content led than keyword led. I'll pick the topic first. Then I will do my keyword research and work the best related keywords into my title. After this I will do some reading around the topic and jot down my bullet points for the article based on this reading. Then I will write the introduction and conclusion. Finally, I will expand on each bullet point.

    Tom

Different types of sites typically have content crafted in a certain way that fits the purpose of the site - for example, product review sites are usually very informative while content for blogs are usually on a more personal level.

As for myself, when I start on a new niche site, I usually read up all I can on the niche from both online and offline sources. Once I have a thorough understanding of the niche, I then sit down and plan titles of articles. I make sure to do some keyword research so that the titles of my articles are keyword targeted. When writing the actual articles, I try not to refer back to my sources of information. I don't edit my articles as I write so as not to lose momentum. Once I've drafted out the full article, I let it sit and come back to edit it the next day with a fresh mind. This is somewhat similar to what Ed Dale teaches in The Challenge.

I write product review articles slightly differently. What I do is to read up on a bunch of positive and negative customer reviews about the product. I then take down notes of the products features, and its major pros and cons. I then write the review article in a certain format based on what a fellow Warrior has posted in one of the threads here. I list the main selling points and features of the product, state what kind of person is likely to buy and be satisfied with the product, elaborate on a couple of the major features and pros, and then write a paragraph of a small downside of the product (making sure to provide a solution to the downside, so I don't put the visitor off completely) - just to keep things balanced)

So, how do you go about creating content for your sites?
Good stuff .Seems like you have it covered . Like the way you layed it out

my question is do you enjoy writing articles and product reviews .Is that what excites you when you wake up in the morning

Unless it is bring the money in ,if it is not terribly exciting, it is time to outsource the work to someone else .

You r question shows someone who is thinking about creating systems .What is your content creation process like? it is a good question to ask . A very powerful question that could lead to optimising your results when explored and executed

You thoughts can make a great E-book! Just build the outline from what you have, get more input from WF and you are good to go.

For one of my sites, I write as many articles as I can myself because I have passion for the area. For the others, I outsource and edit accordingly, since they great money sites and a way to get good income.

You hit the nail on the head . Quality is key .anybody can get it cheap or offer low rates , but you preety much get what you pay for .

designing and building website is more lucrative .You can charge $500-$3000 a popl depending on the client and their needs . if that is what you want to do , it sounds great

That sounds like a very good and structured method. Keep up the good work. When I first used to write my own content I would read about 5 to 10 relevant articles on the topic. Search the keywords then begin writing. I had more fun with article reviews as I incorporated personal scenarios for each one. For example I'd say:

I accidentally ran over my iPad with my son's go cart and desperately needed a replacement. ASUS android tablets were a great alternative, especially since they are half the price. Etc. etc.

It makes for a more interesting read then just stating facts.
