Anyone can be a millionaire if you believe it!

Seriously, why is it people who grow up surrounded in wealth grow up to be successful themself?

The most people who grow up in a council house, end up in one themself when there older.

Its all down to peoples attitudes and believe.

That book "the secret" is a great read for this type of things.

    thanks

If you look around to the five to ten people you hang with the most, your closest friends, you will find that your income and success level is the average of them. If you hang with successful people, you tend to be successful. If you run with a gang, you will be a loser.

I agree with you, the top 5 to 10 people you are around are usually similar to yourself in circumstances.

Watch/listen to as many succesful people as you can on video or mp3 so as you can get into the right mindset and get you excited(I must admit, the last few months I havn't done that, but i'm going to start again).

Go to some seminars, not many unless you get free tickets of course and try and keep in contact with them through forums (as i'm doing now) and email.
i definately recomment forums for this kind of activity.

Well, the biggest reason is that families pass on their empires.

Attitude is important, but who you're related to trumps it. Obviously those of us not born to wealth have to get it the hard way, but magical thinking new age nonsense doesn't help a bit, and someone from a desperate place like Somalia is not likely to be helped in the least by dreaming of Lamborghinis-they'll still be killed by a warlord, if malnutrition doesn't get them first.

Alternately many people who grow up "poor" end up having more drive to be successful and wealthy, and that's what they accomplish.

I would rather have had the upbringing that I had, than one of more "material stuff."

All BBC content, TV and radio, is posted to the "catchup" section of their website which you can reach on the following link: BBC iPlayer - iPlayer Radio Home. You might not be able to watch the live broadcast outside the UK due to rights issues but may still be able to watch it on catch up for the next 6 days.

If you go to BBC - Homepage in 45 minutes you'll be able to watch from that site as it is on, not sure how it works from outside the uk, but i'm sure there is a way of watching it.

Yes, I agree it's all about attitude. Unless you're Paris Hilton.

Looks like an interesting program. Attitude certainly
plays a big part, but as everyone here already knows
action also plays an essential part.

I did it simply by identifying those who had already
done it, and forcing myself into their circles where
they taught me what they were doing.

    Is anyone watching this?

"So what have you learned from the Robert Kiyosaki seminar?"

    "He's a lot taller than I imagined".

    Unintentional comedy gold.

I'm just watching the recording of this program now. First thought? Good soundtrack choices...
Is it me, or do the clips the BBC chose to use, (high-fives, catchphrases), made it look like scenes from the "Yes Man" film? haha.

In all seriousness, Willie's right; its all about attitude. But obviously, taking action is a big part of it. It's also about surrounding yourself with the right type of people.

Well, it didn't really surprise me.

They spoke to a few of the 'Gurus' and showed their lifestyle. They spoke to a couple of people who were making money in property. And they spoke to a few people who were trying to be rich.

What didn't surprise me was the people who were trying to be rich were spending their money on seminars. And more seminars. Kind of like buying the latest ebook. They had plans, but I didn't see a lot of the 'take action' part.

My impression was that they were saying the rich people get richer off people buying places on their seminars, while the people who have been on the seminars were wasting their money because they were no better off.

    Caught the last half hour.

Kind of a joke imo. The clips of the people at seminars high fiving and dancing and stuff and expecting that it'll help them make money ...

Perhaps you need the right mental state or whatever ... but if I was to spend money for someone to teach me how to make money, I think I'd rather spend it on someone who would actually teach me solid methods ... rather than witchcraft!

As was already pointed out, having money in the family helps.

I grew up on welfare, with no one to pass me money or even
    teach me about it.

I elbowed my way into this club:
    http://exclusivewealthclub.com/host-wdc.html

founded by a guy who has been hanging out with very
rich people for the past 25 years.

Just being around them caused them to treat me like one of
them, and I have made some very interesting friends... with
a lot of wealth... and their thinking, habits, and connections
    have began to become mine.

    It's true:

Whenever you try to raise your own bar or get something that is supposed to be out of your league, you will get ****. Life treats you that way. You're average looking but want one of those hot nymph's, the goddesses of nature's own creation?

    You will get tested.

You were born in a ****ty 2 bedroom apartment, but want to live like a king?

Be prepared to be tested... HARSHLY.

You were born in a third world country, but aspire to lead a global business in NYC?

There will be some extensive testing for you.

And the good news is... if you persist long enough...
if you are smart enough to survive and not give up...
    You will get there!

There's no stopping you once you know the basic principles... be it wealth, seduction, spirituality, health... whatever you want.. is out there for the grabs. And it's just the entry into the club that is difficult... once you are in there, things are easier.
