Big Traffic Increase-Why?
I have a newish review site targeting the weight loss niche, it has 6600 exact searches for the main keyword and has been sitting at the bottom of the first page/top of second.
The traffic until now has been very small i.e. 10-20 per day some through image searches.
Got up this morning checked my stats and have 585 visitors already today and rising hourly.
How?
Why?
The position is still bottom of the first page although according to stats it is between 7-10 at various times, the portion of image searches are still similar ratio but a majority is organic searches from Google.com.A lot appear to be some mobile devices and some referred from facebook if this makes any difference.
I checked google trends etc but do not see anything unusual why the increase.
The only traffic generation I have done is through SEO so a viral video etc. is out of the question.
I am not complaining but would like to reverse engineer the reason to keep it up and/or apply what I find to other sites.
Any ideas for this surge?
