Is Working Hard Overrated?

I still hear many people (even in the Warrior Forum) say how necessary it is to work hard in order to achieve success. Is that still true? Do most people who achieve success these days achieve it from working hard.

We live in an age of automation, outsourcing channels and technology. Is it still accurate to quote hard work as one of the keys to success ... as many people would have you believe? Yes, it may be a factor but is it the biggest or even a big factor?

Or is that an "old school" way of thinking in this new economy. Just asking? I realize there is no right or wrong answer per se, but I would like to hear your opinion or your personal truth.

I think it's a combination of working hard and smart. Using your time effectively (like not chatting on the forum )

Seriously though, you have to apply yourself and that takes time, whether you like it or not. It's the only way I get anything done.

  • I think it all depends on how smart you are in your work... and your efficiency for doing work...... as all we know a donkey also work hard...then what is the difference between a man and a donkey.... its only the smartness.....

ya sometimes you need to work hard to get potential results... but more is your success is depends on the things that how smartly you are handling your work.... and how much efficiency you have.........

    How about making a survey:

How many hours/week you work on your online business
    that brings at least 1000/month?

    1. less than 10
    2. less than 20
    3. less than 30
    4. less than 40
    5. over 40

I wish you had a #6, because that would be me, I'm way past 40 hours a week. But I wouldn't call it all work, it's fun too. Does that count?

I'm with Diana on this one. There is no get rich quick button. You will always have to put in the effort I guess, but, as Diana says, you need to be working on the right things.

It's pointless to row hard if the ship is going around in circles :-)

I don't use automation that much, I like to do the small stuff as well until the project starts making money, thén and only then do I automate.
