[Advice Needed] Wanting To Promote Experts Academy

So here's the deal.

I am not in the make money niche. Nor do I have a list in the niche. Nothing.

However, I want to promote Brendon Burchard's Experts Academy that is going to be launched in January.

Question is, with nothing to start with, how would you start?

It is a high ticket item costing 2K with a payout of 1K. It will only be around for 7 days.

It is about taking what you know, packaging it up and positioning yourself as an expert in a niche.

I happen to love the man's teaching and energy...he really wants to get the message out there and sincerely cares. PLUS, I obviously want to get recognize by him, as he is a man I respect.

What do you suggest?

Much appreciated!

Please note: Guys like Frank Kern, Eben Pagan, Jeff Walker, Jeff Johnson, Mike Koneigs and more will obviously be mailing for him. Their bonuses alone are powerful (though more information bonus sucks..cuz they derail you in my opinion).

Let's get the ideas rolling!

Everyone has to start somewhere. Why not just start a blog in the IM niche now and start building a list? If the product has even JV support, and you set up everything properly, you will still be able to get some traffic via the search engines and probably make some sales -- especially if you participate in the pre-launch (if there is one). The only down side is that I know a lot of product creators that put out high-priced stuff tend to be particular in terms of how you promote it.

    Good luck,
    Joey

I haven't heard of it or him (I stay out of the loop of big launches) but if it's a big launch people will be searching "Experts Academy Bonus", "Experts Academy Review", etc. So go check out to see if those domains are available and register one of them. I prefer "review".

Then put up a Wordpress site with a big old opt-in form so you can start building a list. Even if you only have a small list of 100-300 by the time it launches in January, it will be a list of hot prospects because they were searching for it. So you should be to convert better than a big list built off other funnels.

You'll also get a lot of organic traffic during the launch as people will be searching for those keywords. By having them in your domain more than likely you'll be on page 1.

Ask the dude of the launch if he'll do an interview with you (nothing to lose by asking). You can give that interview away for the opt-in.

Pre-sell it. If you're planning on buying it then even better. You can position yourself as someone who will be taking the course and invite folks to join you, etc.

You can also drive PPC to your site once you have a few decent articles, maybe the interview in place.

    Just a few ideas.

I like your approach where you do start broader and then narrow it down. Whether it will be the blog approach or whatever other way to build the list and more so to write a post or two on the topic which allow to generate traffic.

And yes there's a pre-launch going on over the course of 2 weeks. Thank you Joey...and if you look below Alan goes on it as well..

Great ideas Alan. I did PM you asking your opinion on whether I should create a review blog or a plain ole' opt in page...this way keeping the list control and more responsive...

And I think that is a great idea to ask for an interview, even for 15 minutes or so, and I can approach him now before January when it gets busy for him. I like it!

Plus, I was thinking perhaps solo ads promoting a webinar and either get Brendon to join or allow me to go on about it..this way creating buzz and sales.

The only con, I don't know much about SEO to drive traffic the organic way.

      Thank you.

And PEOPLE...Alan's WSO on Interviews...is PURE GOLD. I love it!! And you know what, it is perfect for what I am about to do!!!

I replied to your PM. I rambled on a bit... but yes, I would think Optimize Press would work very nice with a straight squeeze page approach.

Enter your email address for the free 15 minute interview with Brendon Burchard about Experts Academy... etc.

As I mentioned in my PM the AdWords competition for those keywords are low so it shouldn't cost you a lot of money to drive very targeted traffic to your squeeze page offering up the interview.

Plus you'll get the organic traffic if you use those keywords in your domain.

I would think by doing that you should have 100-400 person list by launch.

Yes, it's a tiny list but highly targeted! Even if you just get a few sales at 1K each, that's worth it. You shouldn't have to spend a lot of money in AdWords and organic traffic is free.

Tell Brendon of your plan and he'll probably agree to the interview since you have a workable plan so he should be okay giving you a 15 minute interview.

If he says no, then I would go with review model. Then have a targeted free report for your list building.

        Thanks for the nice comments!

That is a great plan indeed and thank you for the detailed PM with more information on how to tackle this.

Last night, I was going through the course in my mind (bought it last year) and was thinking...what would I like to see added...So I came up with a few things and BAM, those are the bonuses. Already contacted the owners of these products that I think will be a good fit and will buy it for those who who through me.

Of course I can add a physical product or two.

Yes, making money at 1K a person is HUGE...but for me my intention is a) really giving back to the man and b) being recognized by him as well.

          Thank you again Alan!
