Video editing software for a green screen

Hey everyone

I shot a video with a green screen as a background and now I'm having trouble replacing it. A simple black background is all I'm looking for but I'm having trouble even doing that.

Does anyone know of any video editing tools that would help me out with this?

Anyone?

Hate to bump the thread but I've been struggling to find any programs that work for this type of thing. Any advice would be extremely helpful.

using Sony Vegas to do this.
you can download the trial version and do it.

any edition of this software will do it.

Hey B and B, for green screen chroma keying, I use After Effects, which comes with the excellent Keylight plugin for keying. I've tried Final Cut Express and its keying plugins, however, they are not as effective. Sony Vegas will be able to do it too, though I have never used it myself.

I use Magix Movie Edit Pro for my green screen videos. You can usually find it on sale at Best Buy for $29, check their website also.

This guy does a lot of Movie Edit Pro tips videos:

Putting a black background should be pretty easy. You'll just have to make a black square graphic.

  if you have a Mac, iMovie will do it - but it's not on by default. Go to Preferences and click the Advanced checkbox to turn on green-screen functionality

Almost any editing software will do it. The trick with green screen is evenly lighting the screen. After effects is probably one of the best. If you wanted a black background, why didn't you shoot with a black background in the first place?
