You've gone too far with your linkbuilding when..

- you find yourself posting links on a guestbook of an old abandoned site.
- you open a document many times a day trying to get higher in "My Recent Documents".
- You end up commenting on a blog and later realize it was your own blog.
- There is a linkbuilding spike in the search engine stats the size of mount everest.
- You start to dream about a link on a PR 9 page, bonus points for pr 10.
- Matt calls you up and tells you to take a vacation.
- You start blasting 100000 forum profile links for your grandma's knitting site.
- Someone shows you a cool website you immediately check if there's a way to post a link.
- You end up ranking your website #1 in Google for "car trouble" and ... "dog training".
- ..
