Effective Clickbank strategy?

So I started using clickbank but since i don't own any sites and i'm not really looking to mantain one, what are some EFFECTIVE ways to promote clickbank products? I started using article marketing but clearly that isn't my forte.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

      Well said Alexa, for me effective clickbank marketing involves building my list first using a free report linked to the product I wish to promote, via my own squeeze page.

      That way I know I am building a list for me, and not just for the product owner, and if they buy the product, then the chances are they will also buy from me.

    yeah it's true you should be building a list before they go to clickbank and the affiliate link, then you can follow up with the list, otherwise they are going to your link, then clickbank, you get commission, however imagine

    sign up for you list, you review the site, send list an email, with your affiliate link, now you can resell to them

      List building is basically creating a consistent member list which you can then do whatever you want with them (pre sell).

      With that being said, if I don't use websites to go for affilate, it near to impossible to succeed correct?(Also want to mention that I heard CB isn't the best for affilates) If so, what other internet marketing method can I use to make money without using a website ( a bit off topic)

    I don't think I can manage it that good and I know that If i don't spend money to make a website, the traffic definately wouldn't be as good especially since there would be [rootsite.[my site].com] most of the time. Ultimately, I won't be able to write as good content since article writing isn't my anywhere close to my best strength.

      Not so: the quality of the traffic isn't determined by the amount spent on the website.

      You can buy your own ".info" domain-name for $1. This isn't (usually) a serious issue.

      Article marketing is by no means the only way of promoting ClickBank offers. But some sort of writing (for communication with your list subscribers), whether self-written or outsourced, is unavoidable. So, I think almost certainly ClickBank isn't for you ... there are many other business models available in internet marketing, but there's clearly no point in setting out to promote ClickBank products if you've already decided not to build lists.

    My advice for you would be to get a free blog somewhere (blogger.com, wordpress.com) and start building it up... actually, you can do all the steps towards quality traffic for free... and I think you can make money with Clickbank, or any other affiliate network, without a list...

    I think it's completely wrong to say that anyone can't make money with Clickbank without having a list... there are many examples that it can be done... it's as wrong as saying that you can't make money with affiliate programs without a list, which is a complete nonsense... and Clickbank is nothing else than an affiliate program...

    Say if I were to create a website, to make list, I need to offer a free gift in exchange to email correct? Even after that what do I write to my subscribers? I definately need some helps in constructing a suitable page

    You can get a free PLR ebook to give away for free to your subscribers, that's not a problem... although you should find some PLR ebook of high quality to leave the better impression on your subscribers...

    Constructing your page is not a problem... if you want to make a single squeeze page there is a lot of examples out there for that... or you could go with a blog where you will add your opt-in form in sidebar along with your "call to action" message for subscribers to opt-in... what will you write to them is up to you really, but you should go with quality content related to your niche and from time to time you throw an affiliate offer to them...

    Yea building a list is a very effective way to make money with clickbank also having a simple niche website could be profitable as well. If you don't want to do either then you might want to steer clear from clickbank.

    For a strategy, maybe setup a squeeze page where you give away something of value for free in exchange for email addresses. That should be a good start in list building.

    I agree with Alexa...with Clickbank you are going to own a site and the responsibilities that runs with that...there are plenty of other ways to make money online...you may want to be the middle-man affiliate...a traffic broker...and not deal with the end product.

    There are lots of ways.

    I would say try and build lists. That always works with clickbank stuff. Well 9 times out of 10 anyway.

    In fact listbuilding does not just stop there, there are lots of things to do and places to send people on your list.

    Man why do I keep saying LIST today....I guess because it is one of the best assets you can even have for your biz.

      I've always thought it was ok, and I know people who've used it for a long time. But in a recent conversation here, someone I know and trust mentioned something quite bad about it (and I can't remember what, now ).

      So I'm less sure now!

      Have a look in the Reviews section, and failing that try the search function. (I think the search term you want is probably "000WebHost", and the search function isn't case-sensitive - but you know those are zeros, not letter "O"?).

    If you are looking to promote Clickbank products or products as an affiliate in general, you need to find a profitable niche, create a blog that contains product reviews and articles on your own domain, and build a list. There's a reason everyone does it -- because it works! I didn't realize how effective it was until I did it myself. I was just using free sites before, but having a blog has taken my income to the next level. Plus, I have control over what I promote and my content.
