Anyone have any good list building ideas they would like to share. I am looking for some good strategies to help build my lists faster, and also make more money from the lists I already have.

I have a few lists, in different niches, but haven't done a lot with them. I got the subscribers by offering a free report, in exchange for the email address. I have about 15 followups in each list, and make a sale or two a month, but I need to step it up.

I read Allen Says ebook he wrote back in 2008, called the ultimate affiliate strategy. It sounds like a great way to make money from email lists. I am not sure how well it would work now though, after all the google changes in rankings. He says he picks a hot niche, joins about 20 affiliate programs for the niche, and sends subscribers a new offer every week, for a year. He builds multiple sites on the same niche, to get as many subscribers as possible. Any opinions?

    A few ideas - online forum ad space. Find active forums and top posters with no signature. Then offer to pay them $20-$30/month to put your link in their signature.

    PDF directories like scribd.com and slideshare.net. Upload your pdfs with links to your landing page or site.

    YouTube method. Similar to the forum ad space method. You find videos in your niche with many views. Then offer to pay the video owner a fee per month to put your link underneath the video.

    Traffic generation is a whole different area...
    but generally for making an enticing singup incentive I would say giving away more than just a "report"... give away an eBook, of actual value, or a VIDEO program, again of actual financial value -put a value on it... or a whole course... something more than just a "free newsletter" / "free report"

    then, make it a real feature of your site, and customize the optin, put it in a prominant place.. I would say actually ON the page rather than just the sidebar position you see on everyones blogs... with the standard templated plain color template to let them opt in... make it bigger, colour, with custom join buttons... and make grapics for the eBook / Video...

    Basically, offer something of real value, and make it look good.

    When we did this... we used to just offer a "free mini course in subliminal messaging".. when we started offering a "free, full subliminal mp3 worth $11.97", actually put a cd cover on the page and made the page look nice our signups quadrupled... you might as well optimise the traffic you already have.

    Really ramp up article marketing. Write an original article every day and post it on qondio.com and ideamarters.com.

    They have to be high quality and original content to be on these two. If really good, you get a positive reputation and will get syndicated a lot which gets you lots of targetted traffic and good backlinks.

    Then once the articles are live, ping them and social network post them. I use pingler.com for the pinging and some free software I got here for social network posting or you can just use ping.fm and do it manually.

    If you can't do an article a day, do one at least once a week.

    But if you really want to crank this up, then do it daily.

    Qondio and ideamarketers are strick so make sure to follow all their rules but it is SO worth it.
